I don't know, I trust neckbeards when it comes to quality software, so I guess that's it.

Too bad retards like you have to open shit threads

Don't listen to the memers, OP.

Objectively, Arch is a decent distro. It's nice to see Manjaro providing a user friendly way to have Arch on a system without sacrificing too much on the "lightweight" aspect of Arch itself that makes it so well-known.

Would I use it? Possibly. Although I already have a system with a perfectly fine Arch install on it. Maybe in the future if I need to use Arch again on a different system.
>>
>>52559904
What exactly, makes Manjaro better than Arch? The hideous green theme they use?

Seriously Anon, I REALLY hope you do not do this.
>>
>>52560658
If you look at the builds before you install them, like you are instructed to,there is no difference from compiling the packages yourself.
>>
>>52560719
the keyword is maintain
>>
>>52561202
It isn't out of date or broken, so what exactly is your problem with it?
>>
Eh, they're not really comparable. I use Manjaro as my desktop and it suits that, but Arch is fun to play around with and is obviously intended to be customized more than Manjaro. Manjaro is a nice, almost out-of-the-box distro, especially the net edition but the other flavours too where as if you really want to pick everything you need, you go with Arch.
>>
>>52560608
How about a fucking graphical installer? There is no reason why arch can't just release an image with a GUI installer alongside a .net iso.
>>
>>52561202
Same rules apply when you are presented with the updates.Unless I'm misunderstanding you,I've got to ask,How gnu are you?
>>
>>52561284
Do you bitch and moan at say, Github developers for not kissing your ass and doing things your way? You seem to forget that Linux distros are largely projects that are run by people who do things their way. They obviosly don't care and Arch useage apparently isn't suffering too badly for it. Use Architect if it matters so much to you.It works every bit as well as Manjaros installer and is only marginally more difficult.

Because it's Arch without the autistic terminal faggotry, so you can spend more time putting happy lil' trees on your riced desktop.

Why anyone would use Manjaro when Architect exists?
>>
>>52559904
because arch is shit for autistic neckbears

I used to defend Manjaro until I've realized that the whole thing is basically one huge ego trip courtesy of its first in command developer. This kind of things never ends up well.

Its not. Antergos is superior.
>>
>>52568119
It's a literal useless distrolet, what's the point of antergos when there is the Architect installer?

I installed is before the architect installer came out and now I don't want to go through the trouble.

>>

Actually ive tried it, antergos is just a out-of-the-box arch with a dock. Really nothing special. Personally I like manjaro. But my favorite distro is Ubuntu. Arch is very nice though
>>
>>52568679
Yah Ubuntu is great if you like botnets.
>>
>>52568679
This is why it's called a distrolet
>>
>>52568744
mmmmmm nice meme
>>
>>52560605
I would use Arch if it had hardware detection like MHWD. MHWD makes switching drivers and kernels easy as shit. Arch feels great to use, and customizing it is great, but I hate working with drivers.
>>
>>52559904
Because Arch users are all autistic.
>>
>>52568904
>>>52559904 (OP)
>Because Arch users are all autistic.
? logic involved?
>>
>>52559904
It's only better for those who have trouble setting up Arch or have very standard desktop needs.

Nothing wrong with being that kind of user, by the way. It's just that Manjaro is more focused on an OOTB experience, which is what most people seek anyway.
