I tried to update to CM12 when it came out, but it bricked my device for almost 2 days. Too lazy to do full proper install so i stayed whit 11.

Whatever came with my LG G3. The loss of photo quality isn't worth the move to Cyanogenmod in my opinion.

An AOSP based one obviously, anything else is dogshit slow. The sad thing is people don't even notice how slow their phones are with stock firmware, that's not even about the raw performance.

Look under the "Original Development" section for your phone. Anything posted there has to be original work from AOSP. ROM selection is a bit worse, but curry is at a minimum.

Oh it's fine. UI is a little laggy (given the hardware).

Other than UI lag I just prefer the interface of CM. Even simple things like wallpapers that scroll as you change home screens.

Side note: last time I really messed with custom roms was the HD2. So perhaps these things are possible to implement on rooted MIUI.

out of all the android phones i've ever owned, i have NEVER gotten a cm-nightly to boot without it shitting the bed almost immediately. I know they're there just for testing and you shouldn't be using them as daily drivers, but the same could be said about arch.

Never happened with my phones. It either boots perfectly(95% of builds) or doesn't at all. Probably because I'm not a namefag.

Cyanogenmod made my Nexus 4 into the worst phone I've ever had. I had to reboot it before I could make a call. Almost every fucking time.

The advantages? None. I could rice some shit like a teenager with endless time on his hands. I don't get the appeal.

I'm using Cm13.something or other and it works very well. My experience with CM nightlies is this, find a nightly that works and do not change it unless a security patch comes out. Early CM12 version was great and I would have stayed with that if that huge exploit wasn't revealed this summer.

CM 12.1. I don't have service on this phone anymore because I moved to the middle of fucking nowhere, but I still use it for texting and shitposting in bed. I get at least another hour of battery life compared to the stock ROM.

Besides GPE and Sense based ROM's, there are no ROM's that dont shit on audio quality.

Stock 6.0.1 on my Nexus 7 2013. Because unlocking my bootloader just to root is a tedious bitch and I don't want to jump the hoops of being able to recover data and info and logs from apps that I know I won't be able to backup either. Even then, stock has always been based to me on Nexus/Moto device in my experience.
