What ROM does /g/ use?

>mine is pic related
>>
Well not really a choice since everything else is made by Indians on xda that just fork cyanogen and add more botnet

Stock with xposed modules. I cannot stand the buggy cancer that is AOSP.
>>
CyanogenMod 12.1 on my OPX

Just installed it today, holy shit it's like a new a phone, I love it.
>>
>>52555814
cyanogenmod is the ubuntu of android
>>
>>52555814

Stock MIUI because every other ROM is a bug infested shitheap with a terrible camera.

I wish I could move to CM.
>>
>>52557136

Let me guess.. MI4 LTE?
>>
CM11

I tried to update to CM12 when it came out, but it bricked my device for almost 2 days. Too lazy to do full proper install so i stayed whit 11.
>>
Whatever came with my LG G3. The loss of photo quality isn't worth the move to Cyanogenmod in my opinion.
>>
>>52557136
MIUI isn't bad, just root and remove the Xiaomi app stores and shit

custom roms are stupid overrated
>>
>>52557118
What is the Arch of Android?
>>
An AOSP based one obviously, anything else is dogshit slow. The sad thing is people don't even notice how slow their phones are with stock firmware, that's not even about the raw performance.
>>
>>52557437
probably either
replicant
ironically ubuntu touch
jolla
>>
>>52557118
But what is Cyanogen?
>>
>>52556676
Look under the "Original Development" section for your phone. Anything posted there has to be original work from AOSP. ROM selection is a bit worse, but curry is at a minimum.
>>
Pac Rom
>>
>>52557156
How did you know?

Fucking MI4 WCDMA users get an almost perfect 12.1 build (albeit still with a shitty camera) and LTE handsets with the same ROM get all sorts of derpy issues.

>>52557423

Oh it's fine. UI is a little laggy (given the hardware).

Other than UI lag I just prefer the interface of CM. Even simple things like wallpapers that scroll as you change home screens.

Side note: last time I really messed with custom roms was the HD2. So perhaps these things are possible to implement on rooted MIUI.

when will we get stable cm13 for s3?
>>
>>52557437
cm-nightlies most likely

out of all the android phones i've ever owned, i have NEVER gotten a cm-nightly to boot without it shitting the bed almost immediately. I know they're there just for testing and you shouldn't be using them as daily drivers, but the same could be said about arch.
>>
The stock my phone came with because it's glorious and clean.
>>
>>52558776
You have clearly never used arch then.
>>
Note 5 port for the note 4. Snapdragon CM12/13 are still shit. Don't know about the exynos variant.
>>
>>52558776
>i have NEVER gotten a cm-nightly to boot without it shitting the bed almost immediately
Never happened with my phones. It either boots perfectly(95% of builds) or doesn't at all. Probably because I'm not a namefag.
>>
Stock ROM.

Cyanogenmod made my Nexus 4 into the worst phone I've ever had. I had to reboot it before I could make a call. Almost every fucking time.

The advantages? None. I could rice some shit like a teenager with endless time on his hands. I don't get the appeal.
>>
Euphoria os 5.1 on OPO
Since it is probably dead, i am going to switch to resurrection remix 6.0.1.
>>
>>52556881

something went wrong :)

stock, sony roms are pretty good
>>

Marshmallow concept
>>
>>52559210
is it true that rooting marshmallow will require an unlocked bootloader?
>>

You might as well buy an iPhone.
>>
Cloudyg2 3.3 with xposed modules and dorimanx kernal

ROM? I'm on iOS 9.2

>Using Cyanogenmod on Nexus phone

Yeah, that's your problem.
>>
>>52559219

I don't know if it's in all cases, but in the case of the Sony with the Marshmallow concept, Yes.
>>
>>52560065
fuckkkkkkk
did somebody figure out how to retain camera performance while unlocking the bootloader yet?

What is the most stable ROM for the Oneplus One? Currently using sultan nightlies.
I am not Indian.
>>
>>52560084
This. RR got so many features it become unstable and shit. Got crash so many times. Never again.
>>
Miui on an S4. Best battery life.

>>52556689
Are you a shill?
>>
>>52558593
What problems do you have with the nightlies? Everything works fine on my machine™. Ofcourse I have classic i9300.
>>
. so stock is best yes?
How is Ubuntu touch?
>>
>>52557401

You should check out Fulmics. That's what I have on my G3 right now.
>>
>>52559986
I'm using Cm13.something or other and it works very well. My experience with CM nightlies is this, find a nightly that works and do not change it unless a security patch comes out. Early CM12 version was great and I would have stayed with that if that huge exploit wasn't revealed this summer.
>>
>>52560078

I am agreeing with this man here.I say again,he is speak of the truths,Sirs. And good days tto you as weel my friends.
>>
>>52557437
Compiling the latest changes, not cm though because they usually post nightlys anyway so its pointless. I had to do this on a cm nightly before because the devs didn't want to upload an unstable version. Nook color btw.
>>
Rooted T-Mo Noted 3. Otherwise stock TW. I really like split windows, floaty windows, and doodling on S-Note. Can I get a rec for a ROM that has all that or can be added in? Performance is good, but I've seen how an older S3 can fly on CM12.1
>>
>>52555814

Any ROM suggestions for the HTC One m8?

Unofficial CM13 build for my S5. Official CM builds are still at CM11.
>>
Dirty Unicorn V9.7

>>
CM 12.1. I don't have service on this phone anymore because I moved to the middle of fucking nowhere, but I still use it for texting and shitposting in bed. I get at least another hour of battery life compared to the stock ROM.
>>
RomAur. Because it's the only thing for the x5p.

fun fact the x5p doesn't pass safetynet so you can't use android pay.
>>
Just AOSP with xposed
cm 13 has been really unreliable for me so i'm waiting for those issues to get ironed out

Besides GPE and Sense based ROM's, there are no ROM's that dont shit on audio quality.

Stock ROM is fast and stable. I'll stick with it for some time, will root after warranty expires.

Now you know what it feels to have an OPO.
>>
>>52559219
How can you root without unlocking it?
Unless you use some of those chinkroot xploit apps it would be impossible.
>>

AICP S5. The ROM is AOSP based and supports quite a lot of devices.

Stock 6.0.1 on my Nexus 7 2013. Because unlocking my bootloader just to root is a tedious bitch and I don't want to jump the hoops of being able to recover data and info and logs from apps that I know I won't be able to backup either. Even then, stock has always been based to me on Nexus/Moto device in my experience.
>>
Stock LG G4, it's all I need and more.
>>
>>52555814
I have AzureROM on my Galaxy Note 3 because there was no official CM release as of yet.
I'm on AzureROM 4.something, and I recently checked and saw that they're now on 6.0, but... I don't know how to upgrade. How do I do that?
>>
Stock LG V10
Why can't I root this piece of shit
>>
>>52567115

>>
OctOS

Seems like the only ROM that still works on my S3. I used SlimROMs for about 18 months up until everyone ditched the project. They were getting shit anyway.
>>
>>52557469
Does ubuntu touch have the default amazon botnet, and do apk's work?

Android 5.1 stock rom on my Stylo. Root and recovery are available for this phone but want to see if I get 6.0 before doing those 2.
