CyanogenMod 12.1 on my OPX
Just installed it today, holy shit it's like a new a phone, I love it.
An AOSP based one obviously, anything else is dogshit slow. The sad thing is people don't even notice how slow their phones are with stock firmware, that's not even about the raw performance.
How did you know?
Fucking MI4 WCDMA users get an almost perfect 12.1 build (albeit still with a shitty camera) and LTE handsets with the same ROM get all sorts of derpy issues.
Oh it's fine. UI is a little laggy (given the hardware).
Other than UI lag I just prefer the interface of CM. Even simple things like wallpapers that scroll as you change home screens.
Side note: last time I really messed with custom roms was the HD2. So perhaps these things are possible to implement on rooted MIUI.
cm-nightlies most likely
out of all the android phones i've ever owned, i have NEVER gotten a cm-nightly to boot without it shitting the bed almost immediately. I know they're there just for testing and you shouldn't be using them as daily drivers, but the same could be said about arch.
>i have NEVER gotten a cm-nightly to boot without it shitting the bed almost immediately
Never happened with my phones. It either boots perfectly(95% of builds) or doesn't at all. Probably because I'm not a namefag.
Cyanogenmod made my Nexus 4 into the worst phone I've ever had. I had to reboot it before I could make a call. Almost every fucking time.
The advantages? None. I could rice some shit like a teenager with endless time on his hands. I don't get the appeal.
I don't know if it's in all cases, but in the case of the Sony with the Marshmallow concept, Yes.
What is the most stable ROM for the Oneplus One? Currently using sultan nightlies.
I am not Indian.
I'm using Cm13.something or other and it works very well. My experience with CM nightlies is this, find a nightly that works and do not change it unless a security patch comes out. Early CM12 version was great and I would have stayed with that if that huge exploit wasn't revealed this summer.
For some time!
Compiling the latest changes, not cm though because they usually post nightlys anyway so its pointless. I had to do this on a cm nightly before because the devs didn't want to upload an unstable version. Nook color btw.
Rooted T-Mo Noted 3. Otherwise stock TW. I really like split windows, floaty windows, and doodling on S-Note. Can I get a rec for a ROM that has all that or can be added in? Performance is good, but I've seen how an older S3 can fly on CM12.1
Still using my first nightly
It just werks
Unofficial CM13 build for my S5. Official CM builds are still at CM11.
CM 12.1. I don't have service on this phone anymore because I moved to the middle of fucking nowhere, but I still use it for texting and shitposting in bed. I get at least another hour of battery life compared to the stock ROM.
Just AOSP with xposed
cm 13 has been really unreliable for me so i'm waiting for those issues to get ironed out
Besides GPE and Sense based ROM's, there are no ROM's that dont shit on audio quality.
Stock ROM is fast and stable. I'll stick with it for some time, will root after warranty expires.
AICP S5. The ROM is AOSP based and supports quite a lot of devices.
There's an XDA unofficial release that isn't complete shit m8
Stock 6.0.1 on my Nexus 7 2013. Because unlocking my bootloader just to root is a tedious bitch and I don't want to jump the hoops of being able to recover data and info and logs from apps that I know I won't be able to backup either. Even then, stock has always been based to me on Nexus/Moto device in my experience.
I have AzureROM on my Galaxy Note 3 because there was no official CM release as of yet.
I'm on AzureROM 4.something, and I recently checked and saw that they're now on 6.0, but... I don't know how to upgrade. How do I do that?
