I can't believe this thing was $2300. The pen is nice though.
>implyng I paid my own dollarydoos for this
"The computer reinvented. Surface book is the first device of this type. This innovating and perfectly made portable computer is the ideal creation tool, made to adapt to your work style, with a tactile interface, a pen and a mouse."
They can't hire proper translators. Fuck me, even Stallman's French is better.
you got cucked
> 47W quad core i7 vs 15W dual core Pentium 7
> 15 inch retina display vs 13 inch glossy shitty display
> Iris Pro graphics with dedicated memory vs Intel HD meme graphics
> 2GB Radeon M370X vs Cut down 940M with only 1GB and no drivers
> about the same footprint
> macbook is even thinner
> about the same weight
> Force-touch touchpad vs fail imitation
> Comes with OS X, not botnet 10.
> Upgradeable SSD in the macbook vs glued down everything in the surface.
> No forced updates
> No Telemetry
> No bugs and crashes
> Free Office alternative (iWork) vs paid piece of crap
> etc etc etc
> Surface manages to be more expensive
Only cucks would buy something like that.
I've used one a few times at my local best buy, it's honestly one of the best feeling laptops I've ever used. It's got a beautiful display, a great keyboard and trackpad, but they had to make it a fucking detachable which made it ridiculously over priced.
Still so nice though. If I'm not poor in the future I might pick one up, although it will be pretty hard to justify it though.
Uhh the fees are in your taxes so even if you don't go to college you're still paying for college.
not that anon, but even for light media consumption that's not enough vram to run 3000x2000. Aero/Metro alone will take up all of that. where is your h.265 decoding gonna happen, I mean you wanna watch your video in full HD right? the screen supports it.
I don't understand these portable tablet for artists.
I'm do a lot of digital illustration and I fell for the artist tablet laptop meme when it was called the surface pro 2. I sold it after like a month when it became apparent I don't need to draw anything at a fucking starbucks. I'll stick with my cintiq.
Who has one of these and when do you find use for it?
People who buy Surface products use them as production devices to make money and claim them on tax expenses. Macfags however buy shit to pretend that they're not poor.
That's because Wacom penabled is fucking garbage. Ntrig is so much better for portable art work, I had the Surface Pro 1 and the cursor is always way off and edge accuracy is non-existant, with Ntrig, the cursor is always perfectly under the pen tip.
Also, I don't have a Cintiq so I rely on my Surface 3. I use it at work, in the train and at home.
How are you enjoying it? Is the keyboard much different from the SP4 one? I love mine.
wow the juxtaposition of an incredibly expensive processing device a newspaper and possibly one of the shittiest sugar laden cereals imaginable. please eat real food al else is bull shit
...ok please would you be kind enough to indulge my curiosity. What type of milk do you use?
3.25% is that some food marketing bollocks?
or are we talking butterfat content
if that's unskimmed milk that's a pretty low fat content I guess the herds must be more of the extreme high yield holsteins probably feeding off a high cereal or maize based forage, alternatively they're skimming off the rest of the fat and selling it, hmm is it uht?
porridge and muesli are ridiculously cheap alternatives that actually contain far higher Vitamins and minerals than the fortified kellog$ junk ever will steer well clear of foods that are mostly sugar coated maize meal on principal milk sourced from herds feeding nutrient rather than energy dense forages are slightly more expensive but significantly higher in healthy fats and fat soluble vitamins such as E and A
yeah but that's the point the whole 2% crap is bullshit
the more you fuck around with milk the the less healthy it is oxidised fat molecules degraded protein structure
the amount of fat in your diet isn't actually that important the types of fat are much more significant
The whole reduced fat argument is just marketing
2-3.25% huh so say 200ml so that's about 2.5g difference so at around @30Kj/g = 75KJ less relatively speaking the energy content is still pretty negligible but as I mentioned if you could actually buy nutritionally dense milk in the first place rather than the white water low end commodity crap common to north america then the healthy fats and vitamin content would actually matter, if you care about anything care about good nutritionally dense foods produced to high standards
what I was trying to highlight was the fact that so much effort is invested into work but the quality of a diet is often ignored completely under the mantra of cheap food
>I gotta have my pops
I've used both SB and SP4 keyboard for a while, and the SP4 keyboard actually wins for me if you're on a flat surface (get it?) The SB I used had uneven keyboard backlighting and travel felt way too shallow. SP4's keyboard when in the alt magnetic hover mode feels more tactile.
If I'm not mistaken I think these can actually come with the 970m.
So they fucked up. Maybe marketing thought people were stupid to care beyond the generic "Hurr I got an NVIDIA gaming card"
I was disappointing with the price too
Should be $400-800 cheaper depending on the features of the surfacebook
it just makes no sense on the low end,
$1500 for 128gb + i5 + 8gb ram
I could buy a laptop with better specs than that still have money left over for a tablet AND be less than the lowest tier
