As an IT student I've never seen anything like this before.

Basically, whenever I boot up my laptop, my computer will turn on as well. This always happens, and even happened twice when I was in another god damn city.

Both have windows 8 and they're both logged into the same account.

I always turn off windows using the regular shutdown feature, I don't have ANY software on my computer or laptop that could do something like this.

Riddle me this /g/ I don't know who else to ask. I've been having this problem ever since I installed w8 on my computer which was around 6 months ago.

My own 2cents is that windows 8 is for some reason ALWAYS connected to the internet at least with it's hybrid-shutdown bullshit. But if that's true shouldn't that raise concerns?

I think there is a spook messing with your computers. You need to call customer support and explain this issue.

Then your PSU is defective.
Go to the BIOS and turn off Reboot on Power loss.
Your PSU is sensitive as fuck to spikes.
And thats whats fucking causing it to power on.
