Trackpads hold laptops down from becoming smaller.
People should get used to the trackpoint already.
Apple is just an elaborate joke right?
Lenovo has by far the worse quality check I've ever seen from a company.
If you're lucky enough to get a working product from them, then great, I think the thinkpad would be a good laptop, minus the spyware that it supposedly on there.
Why the fuck did Samsung do this? Too bad LG phones are pure garbage so it's likely I'll just have to accept a sealed battery next time.
That fucking buttonless shit. I can just about live with a chiclet keyboard, tourettes layout, grainy gray, hectare bevels, no status leds, even soldered ram and that maximally retarded-ass hinge that drops the screen behind the machine so there can be no ports or back-potruding battery. But they just had to kill the trackpoint buttons. Thank goodness one of their pair of braincells came back online for the 50 series.
Either bait or too new to know the difference between think and idea series.
This fucking trend needs to die.
There was absolutely nothing wrong with smartphones that were 10-11mm in thickness.
Also QHD and bigger resolutions on 6 inch displays.
Waste of resources that could be used either to lower the production cost or actually include a fucking decent quality screen instead.
If those two shitty memes were gone devices would have
>a lot better battery life
>a lot more durability
>Get a Fairphone.
>mdw fairphone 2 has blue and black translucent back panels
i'm fucking sold there
>remove the screen
>replace with touch sensitive plastic front with numbers printed on it
>makes battery even smaller, making it thinner.
Apple is going to go make a basic phone, thin as fuck. The worst part is they know it will sell well, because its fucking branding.
This one is kind of obvious but why not
I'm familiar with both the Thinkpad and Ideapads.
Both again have fairly terrible quality check since Lenovo will shit out and sell about any atrocity it makes.
IBM never had the issue with their Thinkpads.
Annoying as fuck. What was Steve Jobs thinking?
> uploading 3.78 MB 5312x2988 pictures on the internet
for what purpose
why the stupid resolution
why the high resolution if all you're going to show is some black and white buttons
why not make it greyscale and scale it down for good measure
That stylus plugged in like that makes me so nervous
I have an LG escape 2
Life is suffering
Are you referring to the power key or the fact that the backspace button is mislabelled?
I assume that Macs are the same as Chromebooks, where the power button has to be held down for a couple of seconds to shutdown the computer. The power button's not so bad.
I find the 3ds a God aweful piece of shit with really no redeeming qualitys other then being the only supported handheld console.
Aside from pretty good battery life.
It's a fucking tragedy monster hunter is married to Nintendo. Plz go back to Sony.
I've used an LG V10 and the build quality is great and the second screen gimmick is actually pretty cool. Samshit build quality is fucking abysmal and anyone who defends that garbage is a brainwashed shill.
The power button is total shit. You hold it down to sleep and hold it down until you lose brain cells to shut it off, and there's like a 1/10 chance of it actually turning on your computer
Not having to rest your wrists on the laptop itself would be pretty comfy actually, just like a desktop keyboard. But spergs will still sperg about how "its not like every other laptop!!11"
I don't understand why Microsoft adamantly refuses to give up on this horrible form factor.
It's not good as a tablet because it's big, heavy, and a poor aspect ratio for tablet usage, and it's not good as a laptop because it has no hinge or real keyboard and relies on some shitty flimsy plastic attachment and a kickstand that barely works on anything but a flat table surface.
Asus solved this problem back in 2010 with the Transformer, which had a completely independent tablet base that let you use it as a tablet when you wanted a tablet, and a full size laptop keyboard with integrated battery with a 180 degree steel hinge when you wanted a laptop. At the $300 price point.
The Surface is a decent table and a shitty laptop. The form factor just doesn't work.
I wonder who is in charge of this stuff. Apple isn't doing much better either.
>Asus solved this problem back in 2010 with the Transformer
>solved this problem
You could've at least tried and said Venue Pro or something.
I don't understand what either of your responses had to do with my post. Asus has the superior form factor. I don't really care about their sales numbers or relative performance. Microsoft's insistence on sticking to flimsy plastic keyboard and kickstand over the clearly vastly superior detachable form factor that literally every other manufacturer uses is what confuses me.
It's like they're making something intentionally worse just to have one recognizable feature that they can use in marketing.
The surface book is a tacit admission that the original surface format wasn't the best for laptop usage. The way I see it, the OG surface is a tablet that can be used a laptop in a pinch, while the surface book is an actual hybrid laptop/tablet.
>Asus has the superior form fastor
FUCKING LOL. You don't what the fuck you're talking about. Asus's design was this shitty, tiny plastic hinge that you had to unlock with a shitty button. The port on the hinge was worse than a micro USB port, no wonder it didn't take off everyone kept breaking them.
Microsoft's design is much better and sturdier because you don't have this annoying ass wobble when you're poking the screen with your fat ass fingers. The surface can be used at any angle imaginable as a laptop or a tablet. The shitformer book can only be used flat as a touch screen or it'll wobble like a mother fucker.
Posted from my Surface Pro 4
> The surface can be used at any angle imaginable as a laptop or a tablet.
It can be used at exactly 3 different angles as a laptop, and only on a solid flat surface.
Asus's execution may not be perfect, but clearly Microsoft recognized how much better it is for laptop usage since they adopted the same thing with the Surface Book.
>L. You don't what the fuck you're talking about. Asus's design was this shitty, tiny plastic hinge that you had to unlock with a s
Exactly? Three? Are you retarded or something? You're talking about the Surface 3, when talking about the Surface line you should refer to the newest and best product available unless you actually specify the one you refer to.
Surface is a tablet for people who still need a laptop from time to time. It's the "tablet that can replace your laptop". In that context a kickstand and keyboard that are hidden 90% of the time and only show up when you need to type a quick email is exactly what they wanted. For people who want a real laptop/tablet hybrid, they made the Surface Book, which is "the ultimate laptop."
The surface has a friction hinge. And the surface book has 5 contacts to the tablet that are not cheap plastic. Plus, they just slot into the tablet similar to a usb C port, much more durable.
I'm using my SP4 on my lap just fine. After an hour it's just another way to use a laptop. You get used to it the same way people got used to keyboards and smartphones.
