Linux is a copy of UNIX... Mac OS X is UNIX...

Linux didn't used to have CUT/PASTE for folders... in fact it really doesn't, certain desktop environments do. Linux, like OS X, has copy and move.

If you want it in Finder, you can install TotalFinder or write your own helper/automator script. Or like it has been said at least 6 times already, use the built-in CMD+SHIFT+V. or go ask daddy for a PC instead of a really difficult "special snowflake toddler" Mac that is somehow both way too easy to use and also impossible to handle by such an intelligent being.
