How does /g/ name their system?
Do you named after your waifu or something sample?
For example: 'First or Lastname@localhost', 'waifuFirstname@ shows group name or device(machine) name'
Also when you type in your password(root passwd including) do you use your traditional one or be creative with it?
My example: root & user password: waifuLastname

No, I'm just curious NEET in need for brainstorming names and passwords for my gentoo top.
And please don't really put your password here, just the idea of what it is.
My username is always my first name.
My hostnames are usually named after robots. Right now, my desktop is called Unit00 and my laptop is called 00Unit.
My blade servers are named after mythical or fictional swords.
Why do people even bother with these threads? Everyone posts their names, but there's never any discussion. Everyone wants to show off how clever their names are, but there isn't actually anything to say.
All my machines are named for mecha from the Virtual-On series.
magi (network) machines (casper, melchior, balthazar)... rpi box is "penpen"
animaniacs (network), machines (yakko, wakko, dot, pinky, brain)
just whatever random shit I could think of that would be easy groupings to remember and sort of have a theme
i stopped naming mine, or if i do it's rather impersonal. technology is just glossy trash to be used up and replaced like a whore it is, anon.
there is no glory in being attached to whores.
My server is VLA
My desktop is Arecibo
my laptop is ALMA
My rbpi is VSA
I had a bunch of VMs named after them. Then I nuked all but my domain controller named Reimu. Probably gonna rebuild them someday when I expand again.
I usually name them something like Apple's iSomethings.
My Walkman is Sony iPod, my laptop is Lenovo iBook, my ereader (only books) Icarus iReader, my tablet (manga reader) Asus iPad, my phone Wiko iPhone 4G (used to be iPhone 3G before I got a 4G LTE phone), and my HTPC streambox Bitfenix iMedia.
My desktop and home server I called NZXT iComp and Dell iCentral respectively, because I couldn't think of anything better.
None are Apple products. I names my PC and HTPC after their case manufacturer. My homeserver used to be a Dell office PC, has a Haswell i7 and 32Gb RAM. I got it to stresstest office software 24/7 for a week and then they gave it to me as they later realised it couldn't be used for office purposes any more by company protocol. Some bullshit about it being damgerous to introduce foreign items into the network.
I'm a simple man.
