Can't fool me, I just bought 68 shares of Nvidia nigga
>>
>>52536830
Sorry op, i don't want to loose any money
>>
>>52536830
In a year's time they might be back to $3-4

They could go lower before then, but don't buy too late.
ravenridge APUs will provide some sales and they might might maybe miggghhht be able to penetrate the laptop market better.

First half of '16 won't be profitable.

How's the trailer park treating you?

Their losses are narrowing, but I predict they won't actually start having good quarters until the second half of 2017.

>taking internet investing advice from jobless neckbeard freetards with 1000 good boy points to their name

Why did they backtrack to x86 architecture for their CPU?

I thought they had AMD64 pretty well implemented.
>>
>>52537684
>>
>>52536830
but why. what can it do? if its not atleast 4 times faster than the current best cpu no one will buy it
>>
>>52537383
>In a year's time they might be back to $3-4
Or they may be bust. Massive debt, huge losses, few actually valuable assets.
>>
>>52536830
>Not buying puts when it was at 2.35
>>
No PC user will buy AMD cpu ever again, they are done.
>>
>>52536830
I already own close to 3000 AMD shares and I bought another 7000 today.

Making the big buck is all about risk taking and i'm willing to risk ~2.5 months worth of pay to hit it big.
>>
>>52538788
Sorry to break it to you but AMD isn't going bust anytime soon. They would be bought up by another company if anything
>>
>>52538923
Im having flashbacks, except instead of amd it was intel.

Athlon and phenom kicked the shit out of intels offerings.
>>
>>52537684
dumb nigger
>>
>>52539118
The problem with buying them as a going concern is you need to find someone willing to take on over $5 billion in debt. Looks at the Phoenix consortium with JLR they paid £1 for what was a major manufacturing company because Ford couldn't afford to keep the debt going. No company would sensibly take on that debt in the current economic climate.
>>
>>52538788
as 1 of 3 companies with a license to the x86 architecture, they won't die.
>>
>>52539935
I'm sure Samsung will gladly scoop AMD from the bargain bin when they kick it and scrap them for the assets.
>>
>>52539941
>>52539935

If AMd is sold the copany that buys them would not be able to produce x86 processors of any kind. their agreement with intel states this.

What happened to all the revenue they're getting from supplying the processors for the current gen consoles?
>>
>>52539960
So? What difference does that make? The buyer won't care.
>>
>>52539993
Why would you buy a company whose only asset then would be an okay GPU line and patents?
>>
>>52539960
That would give intel a monopoly over processors.

The Fed would asspound intel and cause them to split into different companys.
>>
>>52539974

Those kinds of deals always end up costing the vendor money for the first few years, until they can streamline the process and save money on manufacturing.

It's why Microsoft sold the xbox 360 at a loss for the first few years, even though they owned all the technology inside it. It wasn't until they were able to slim down the processor to a 65nm process and eventually combine the CPU and GPU into a single die and reduce it further to a 45nm process that they started making a profit on it.
>>
>>52539941

kek. samsung gains nothing from such a purchase. They have their own ARM processors, have deals with intel for x86 machines, and there isnt a market they are in where buying AMD will be overly beneficial to them.
>>
>>52540037
Why do you think they let bush and obongo backdoor their hardware? Wheel and deal just incase they need a favor
>>
>>52540171
Its not up to the executive branch, its up to the legislative or judicial branch to decide to break up monopolys.
>>
>>52536903

If you're not buying a lot of shares I would highly recommend you not buy any of them. You could probably earn more than you'll make at the end at any minimum wage job in a month or less. The only way for you to become rich here is for AMD's stock to skyrocket to a ridiculous level(unlikely) or if you paid for a huge amount of shares and AMD's stock rose a modest amount(at least possible).

$2.14 now. Can we be May 2000 again?
>>
>>52540037
>That would give intel a monopoly over processors.
Not really, they'll just argue that ARM is selling way more CPUs and Intel are just a minority. Then they'll have free reign over x86 until that bloated piece of shit architecture sinks together with them.
>>
>>52543868
>The only way for you to become rich here is for AMD's stock to skyrocket to a ridiculous level(unlikely) or if you paid for a huge amount of shares and AMD's stock rose a modest amount(at least possible).

If they go up to a reasonable 3.0 you will almost double your money They have been at over 90, which would mean 50 times the money you put in. Stocks is anyway a much better way of saving money.
>>
>>52540028
I imagine the legion of CPU and GPU design experts would also come in handy.

GPU design maybe, AMD's CPU division is a fucking joke, probably ignored all of Keller's input while he was there, that's why he fucked off so quickly from AMD this time.
