Those things are really comfy for taking notes and homeworks. I did all the first semester without using a single paper sheet

Every ultrabook is pretty expensive already, and given similar specs, MBP is usually about the same price either way. In worst case you pay a bit more but shit, if you're spending over 300 on a laptop, might as well get the best.

Not even that. I had a sager which I specifically got because it was powerful, looked mundane, and could play games.

All I ended up playing on it most of the time was old as fuck games that would run at 60, instead of the games I would play on my desktop at high and 60fps.

Now I just bought a used t420 for 100 bucks, replaced the keyboard and trackpad buttons, got a 9 cell new battery and slapped an SSD in it I had lying around.

So far best laptop I've ever had.

Negro what? You can set it up to be pretty much same as on Windows, just works better because of godly trackpads.

Given all the shitty 16:9 screens, the only choice for somebody who wants to do some work on it, should be either MBP or Surfacebook, maaaybe Surface if one can deal with no lapability and wants to take notes.
