How does /G discovers new music ?
usually readin about on Wikipedia, surfin /mu/, or soundcloud
that's how I discovered all kinds of stuff like Isao Tomita, 808 State, or Teena Marie. If the net is good for one thing, it's definitely good for music
have fun OP
I browse through the music categories of torrent sites once or twice a month, I try out the first 5 albums I don't have yet in the first hundred. I download a few albums of artists that I liked.
Spotify/last.FM they can be paired together
There's always music for you out there anon it might not be popular but anything old there's always going to be other people who replicate it from those days
Soundcloud, Youtube and social networks such as Facebook and Twitter where I follow some of my favourite artists and they share other artists' music.
Also my favourite producers (arguably the best in their genre) own three different record labels now host a weekly radio podcast, so that's a great way of discovering new stuff.
Online radios (While working/studying)
NRK P3 Urort (Norfag underground artists)
Bandcamp radio & frontpage
Spotify playlist radio (finds songs that are similar in style)
Random people's Spotify playlists.
