I shoot pictures in more than 4k. Allows more freedom with editing, some of which is artistic, but also much of which is just fixing problems.

I just don't care to display 4k or more at one time. It doesn't really help with anything.

It's not like you'll be needing 4k for font rendering and a DPI count like on a smartphone also won't matter unless your screen is very close to your face. Do you just want to use huge screens?

My cousin had a new 4k tv for Xmas,you can literally see people pores in music videos and every freaking blemish/scar they ever had...

I just bought a 1080p monitor because at this point it's the standard for most content and 4k content isn't around as much,plus it's expensive as hell to justify currently.

Korea makes a ton of 40" 4K displays right now, actual proper monitors and not TVs. It gives you about the same pixel density as 1440p, so you get more real estate but don't have to deal with scaling issues.

Wake me up when single GPU can handle it.
