What's /g/'s music streaming service? Anything .flac quality or similarly good, free, etc? I like clear audio, but anything is better than Spotify.
>streaming
Forgot to mention that local content is still my favorite but sometimes I'm too lazy to download

I just host everything on pomf clones and use a simple homemade site to stream.

My phone doesn't have 2395879021385 TB for all those fucking lossless audio files

In general I prefer Apple Music. It has the best selection of music compared to any other service, and the features on it surpass Spotify imo (the radio feature is much better, although the playlists could use some work.)
I occasionally use Pandora if I'm in the middle of nowhere with shitty cell connection since the audio quality is lower and can stream well pretty much anywhere with 3G.

Get a fucking SD card fagget, you're going to pay $10 a GB to stream "those fucking lossless audio files".
>>52519960
>FLAC on your phone DAC
that's a good one
Apple Music because it has Tay Tay
>$currentyear
>paying 2 bucks for a song
it's like you made cuckoldry your lifestyle.
Often, spotify has a promotional deal: 99ยข for 3 months of spotify premium. I fucking love it

Amazon Music is free with Amazon Prime, so I use it.

OP here
I pirate a shitton of music, but my problem is sometimes the jazz I like isn't there or has like 1 seeder n shit. I have a 16 gb sd card, which would be enough for a few albums, but it wouldn't be enough for all the music that can be stored in mp3
Google play music
>>52519999
Chekd, this is tru
>>52520130
Just buy a bigger sd card senpai. They're cheap as fuck these days.
What is the point of streaming music? I've always downloaded it. How and who streams it, do I have no pay for it?
What are the benefits of streaming music over having it locally?
>>52520128
>wasting space on something you can automatically just listen to in seconds instead of waiting for the torrent to finish

sockso server on LAN with a netbook hosting a bunch of torrented media.
It's fucking comfy and saves me latency when playing online.

>implying Spotify doesn't just cache all the songs you've listened to on your hard drive anyways
Spotify is literally the worst of both worlds: You have to stream all the music and you have to have it stored on your computer too. To top it all off, people actually pay for this. Absolutely amazing.

>10% of your hard drive

lmaoing @ ur life
>>52520218
yeah tell them, what are you poor?
>>52520198
iTunes does have cancerous DRM, but with that being said I think streaming has made buying songs on iTunes obsolete, considering you can have access to the whole music collection on iTunes as opposed to buying a single album for $10.
>>52520194
I pick all three.
>good
Direct Play = direct copy of file on my hard drive is streamed
>free
Nothing more than I'm already paying for internet and electricity.
>stream
Anywhere I have Internet access.
Plex master race.

>paying for spotify
the ads are short as fuck why would you
spotify hasnt even used more than 5 gigs since i started using it last year
>>52520286
Because you don't do their offline play thing
>>52520295
duh because that is stupid i can just download the music.
For me the point of spotify is to listen to stuff i dont have already and to listen to music in my car
>>52519887
Spotify premium.
>1 buck for 3 month.
>>52520286
You get to choose out any song you want with premium and don't have to use shuffle on playlists all of the time.
You also get to use 320KPS audio instead of 192 but I've personally never noticed a difference.
