i use a tri-x r9 390 and the only problems i ever had are flickering compass on fallout 4 after installing crimson which was quickly fixed by adding the older driver dlls in the game folder
card is pretty quiet and often runs at 75C~ 100% load with +100mv @ 1140/1600

The 380X really doesn't seem worth it. There's not much a performance difference between it and a 4GB 380.

He's not wrong about shitty drivers, I got Crimson and it made my games run worse, partially my fault because "it's a Beta!!!"

Poorly optimized games are only when Nvidia gimmicks are used, AMD processors are usually the main problem with devs being assholes and making single core performance so important in games

Otherwise I'm happy with my 270, I don't play that many new games
