According to their issue tracker, qBittorrent 3.3.2 is a piece of shit that crashes like a madcunt.
Daily reminder never to listen to /g/ because they recommend open source software even if its a buggy piece of shit.
Stay with uTorrent 2.2.1, which doesn't crash at all.
There are plenty, but if you want to be part of the botnet, hey, be my guest. You're using Windows already so you might as well be paying a black guy and a woman to fuck each other while you jerk off in a corner pretending she's your wife and he's cuckolding you.

No wonder that it's crashing on the botnet operating systems. It works well on my Ubuntu ever since I've upgraded it.
>tfw being part of the GNU\Linux masterrace
>Calls others sheep.
>Cucks shilling for μeme 2.2.1
Stay buttblasted, faggots. Latest qbittorrent just works on all of my machines.
it worked fine until the 3.3 branch.
download an older version (3.2.x).
> inb4 but muh utorrent
yes, if you use a 5 year old uTorrent client, then yes that one works. even in 3.2.3 uTorrent, you have to disable ads.
>tfw μTorrent 2.2.1 has been working for 5 years (and counting) on my Microsoft® Windows™ without any problems what so ever
>try out Deluge
>try out qBittorrent
>try out μTorrent 2.2.1
>try out Vuze Leap
>try out Tixati
I really don't see why do you idiots fight over torrent clients when they all work perfectly fine, maybe trash your shit PC that is incapable of running a fucking torrent client.
Used qbittorrent for multiple years and stumbled upon my first I/O error, stalled, last night. Couldn't get it to go away, and no, it was not due to lack of storage or memory.
Then I discovered Ktorrent. It's perfect. Maxes out my network, just like qbittorrent, but does so much faster. It also has useful plugins OOTB and requires less dependencies, seeing as I am already using KDE.
Pleasantly surprised. Going to reinstall gentoo tomorrow (due to a bug I caused myself) and this time I'm going to stick to Ktorrent.
I tried switching to qBittorrent, but for some reason it's obfuscation fails to work and I get throttled harder than a dial-up modem. Had to go back to old-ass version of uTorrent. On Rogers cable.
Anyone have an invite for IPTorrents or similar? I used to be on that site but my account got deleted due to inactivity. I won't disappoint you.
Some of the issues with qBittorrent (e.g. stalled torrents) are actually related to libtorrent, which is what qBittorrent is built around. So is Deluge, Halite and numerous other clients. All of these clients are going to produce the same issues. Your best bet is to use something not based on libtorrent, such as Transmission, Tixati or uTorrent (although I still wouldn't recommend uTorrent for other reasons)
You've been autistically slamming qbittorrent in particular the last few months, making up the stalled meme and saying to use an insecure and outdated piece of garbage instead. Fuck off, you're fooling no one.
>libtorrent-based clients are shit.
I use qbittorrent because it's the only client I know of on OS X that allows me to download files sequentially so that I can watch videos as I download them
Works mostly fine but it takes a really long time to quit
well, I am from the qBittorrent forum team.
we are waiting for the SMF team so they can verify that there was no hack at all.
but this was our suspicion from the beginning.
1) 12 year old script kiddies claim that they have hacked literally all the forum engines on the internet
2) The only way to access it, is a random shady paid site, by one of these fucks
3) Said site goes down, stays down
4) Even the said fuck disappears - both online, and realityforums
What is known 100%:
> The server was not breached.
> No account got 'hacked'.
> There was no hello.txt or anything on our server after we got "hacked"
> There is nothing in our logs
> SMF team says there is no public exploit available for the latest SMF, only paid ones
> implying two basement dweller social rejects will have 5k $ to hack a few sites
So... the investigation will likely discover nothing new, this whole thing was a hoax only.
As soon as the SMF lead says we are good to go, we will be back.
Azureus is a cool client, but the UI is such a pain in the ass, holy shit.
The SOCKS/encryption features are also a joke.
The Azerues/core is basically stick 5-10 years back, they only work on the new adware/crap UI.
And we were mentioned in the very same article on TorrentFreak.
Our database got "hacked" supposedly too.
But IMO they just used some bug to create that file and call it a day.
Why change if it's working? Is it because you have nothing better to do in life?
Pic related - 2.2.1 - Total running time 3.9 years. 0 crashes, 0 botnets, 0 open sores.
> tfw if you set your ram cache too much uTorrent crashes
> tfw if you use auto, it will take weeks to write out lots of small torrents
> tfw there is no 64-bit version of 3.2.3 or 2.2.1
> tfw it's going to suck forever
feels bad mang
If it wasn't a piece of shit, this wouldnt happen at all. qBittorrent is full of bugs like I/O errors, losing settings, stalled torrents, etc. This new crasher is just the latest in a series of bugs in this shitty client.
This is such a good program. It really teaches people how to submit crash and bug reports, no other program does it as well.
FOSS is proven to be garbage yet again. It's free because it's shit.
>This is such a good program. It really teaches people how to submit crash and bug reports, no other program does it as well.
ATTENTION EVERYBODY: THEY HAVE ISOLATED THE PROBLEM TO
MONITOR THIS THREAD TO SEE THE PROGRESS.
DON'T USE 3.3.2 UNLESS YOU WANT A CRASHED CLIENT AND LOST TORRENTS.
OR USE ANOTHER CLIENT.
>ATTENTION EVERYBODY: THEY HAVE ISOLATED THE PROBLEM TO
Lol they even got the libtorrent developer to troubleshoot this with them.
What a fucking joke of a dev team.
the disk cache in advanced.
if it's not on override, and I add many small (~25-200)mb torrent on my gbps server, it takes weeks to finish.
but if I increase cache to 1gigs at least, the server can download with a constant 20M/s+ speed.
> tfw have 3000 torrent loaded
> 99% of it is from What/Waffles
> upload: 1.5gb
.... This is why I pay for Spotify.
How the fuck am I supposed to build a buffer?
>Minor update: I am currently running a custom version what will print "out of bounds" piece index or files index. And now I am waiting for it to crash...
>It just crashed. I didn't get any printout of "out of bounds" piece or file index...
Lol even the lead maintainer can't figure out why it's crashing!
Based Arvid always helped qBittorrent since the beginning of the project.
Every bug the team finds, will make his library less buggy.
It's a win-win for both teams.
Also the qBittorrent team cannot just fix libtorrent bugs.
And developing an entire library just for a project, is just dumb.
there is only Pajeet's library, aka the rtorrent one.
most projects use this.
but having a quality library is not that hard when you break the bank with all the ads served and all the malware you install at the users.
>Based Arvid always helped qBittorrent since the beginning of the project.
It's because qBittorrent is the most popular libtorrent-based client and it's exposing how buggy his shitty lib is.
well, its open sores, fix it.
or write a better one.
in the name of the qBittorrent team, we are happy to switch once you finish writing it.
but you better make it bug-less! and fast. and small. and feature-packed.
>works on my machine
Why do you guys conveniently forget that utorrent has bugs as well and that the program is unstable on some PCs? Don't even get me started on 2.2.1 vulnerabilities. How many of you have actually tried qb? These threads are biased, useless, and full of retards.
>made me reply
R-really good client! It even gives me helpful messages!
> inb4 just seed what you download
It's a 100% chance that you won't be able to sustain yourself.
It's not a ratio less traceker - neither of those are.
If that were the case, I would just seed my shit forever.
But it does not do anything on What/Waffles.
