Can mutt do pgp/mime?

thunderbird is not kill!

I actually found myself to be quite comfortable with seamonkey mail.

It's got this good old outlook vibe to it

Yes it can. It's one of the reasons why I use mutt, because I really wanted to have a PGP/MIME capable MUA.
>>
I need an email client that will work with Microsoft Exchange server so I can get school emails, is this possible?
>>
>>52510123
evolution has that last i heard famfam
>>

is evolution actually good?
>>
>>52510150
that's a whole other thing.
>>
>>52510162
maybe I should have asked for a "good" email client then :/
>>
>>52510150
I'm using it exclusively. It also has fewer vulnerabilities than mutt.
>>
>>52510174
*fewer historic well known vulnerabilities
>>
>>52510174
heard it's prone to crashing, is it still in active development?
>>
>rip in piece geary

could have been great
>>
>>52510253
>what is cvedetails
Unless of course you know of a more reputable source of known security vulnerabilities.

>>52510258
What the fuck is wrong with you? Do you use Ubuntu or Arch? It has not crashed on me once and I've been using it for about 10 years.
>>
mutt

not even a fan of TUI applications but it justs shuts up and reads my mbox file without any bullshit
>>

>Unless of course you know of a more reputable source of known security vulnerabilities.
That's exactly what I mean. These are historic well known vulnerabilities.

Is there an email client that doesn't require you to manually press "Send/Receive" emails in order to actually get your emails.

I'd like a notification for incoming emails.
>>
>>52511140
Good luck, mate. I don't even use Arch, but these guys have quite an extensive wiki which also covers mutt in great detail https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Mutt
>>

Thunderbird.

And mutt has more. Especially in the recent years.

pgp?
>>
>>52511536
Yes, you said that already, but at some point you're just splitting hairs. There are maybe one or two vulnerabilities each year. The latest two of Mutt are just pesky denial of service flaws and as far as we know, there haven't been any remote code executions for Mutt since 2011. Evolution had its most recent in 2013, but it wasn't even that spectacular.

Both MUAs are fine, especially when comparing to Thunderbird.

Just use webmail :^)
>>

Unfortunately it doesn't support STARTTLS which my uni uses for its email servers so I can't use it :(

Looks really sexy though.

I just use and prefer 'Geary' because I don't need all that extra shit.
>>
>>52509726
thunderbird isn't kill, it's feature complete, that's why it only recieves security updates. I'm sure if there's a paradigm shift and radically new and better email technology comes about, thunderbird development will be active again
