You have 500 dollars. What tech do you get?
Bonus points for how niche it is
idk a dac or amp i guess
maybe speakers if i can afford decent ones with 500
a microphone boom arm and shockmount, hdmi splitter
some wacom pen tips maybe
idk its not a lot of money desu
Parts for my shitboxes, or more shitboxes, and maybe a new GPU for one of my current shitboxes.
I only play old games and CS:GO, also don't want to have a heavy loss of fps when there are 5+ smoke grenades on screen so a 950 will do.
I don't give a shit about "next-gen" shit or dx12 with spyware10.
>A dragon dildo: $56
>Quality thermos for storing piss: $32
>Powerball ticket: $2
>VHS copy of Con-Air shipped overnight: $20
>Plastic gallon of cheap Vodka: $13
>2 hours with Portuguese hooker: $400
A nice 10-keyless mechanical keyboard with custom keycaps to emulate the look of a 1990s dell quietkey.
And I'd spend the rest on sex toys and girly clothes.
500GB SSD for my Macbook (it's the old modular model, so I'd buy the drive from Newegg or B&H) and an external caddy for the old HDD. Anything left goes into the savings account.
I'm not an extravagant person right now.
>some wacom pen tips maybe
Spending money on something that's worth pennies, literally pennies, and not making your own unlimited supply:
Been doing that for a few years now, off one roll of trimmer line that cost $9, if I'd paid for the actual Wacom nibs I'd have spent a thousand bucks.
reds, though i've considered simply buying a hhkb jp because it already looks like a drab 90s office keyboard
also that's none of your business
Oh, come on. There are plenty of trapfags on /g/ who would just be honestly curious about what kinds of girly clothes one might get. Or maybe for ideas.
I'd get a Novena board. Or an X220 and a red plaid skirt. Been wanting one for a while.
>skinnyfat trap who has shit clinging to furry cornhole
>wishes it was attractive
>acts like the cunt he wishes he was
My craigslist is so bad for drives it's not funny. Everyone wants more than retail. And I can't afford the $65/$85 for a new 2TB/3TB.
I just put in an offer for $40 on someone's 2TB FAEX (they're asking $89 but it's been up a month). If I don't get it I don't know what I'll do. Finishing this encode will let me clear up 30GB of source DVDs, but adding 6GB of encodes to the pile isn't helping.
about you. this was a thread about prospective, hypothetical purchases and you assume after you shit it up with irrelevant crap you think people are asking you for pictures of yourself (somehow wearing these hypothetically bought clothes). Why do so many trannies draw attention to themselves like that?
I mean I was just hoping you'd tell me. Like I wouldn't have complained about pics but just say the clothes and imagination will do the rest.
See this anon gets it.
Also I'm debating as to whether or not I should get an x220 or x201 to replace my x220t.
It's only $70, but shipping the antenna from USA and then paying customs on item value + shipping it would probably end up being nearly $200
A pc-98, though I don't know how much they're worth or what model to get.
Also I need to fix the NVRAM on a sun box, but that's supposedly just a bios battery socket glued on top of the NVRAM chip, not going to be expensive.
And then I need an SCSI card to get my tape drives to use. And some tape.
A whole bunch of used CRT monitors. I already have one, but I need to get some spares because they aren't manufactured anymore. Literally all my life I've only ever used CRTs and I'm not about to fall for the flat meme until the standard resolution for everything becomes 4k or something.
>want to buy a 750ti because my demands are quite low
>that fucking card doesn't exist here neither used nor new, sold out everywhere
>have to buy a 950 with the thought that i'm over spending
Provided I couldn't save it, I guess I'd buy a Yamaha TRBX 305, and use the rest for a halfway decent envelope filter. The 505 would cost about $500, but it actually doesn't sound as good as the 305.
I've already got a cheap ESP 5-string though, I'd rather save the money towards a German Warwick.
>Sennheiser HD650 + Massdrop O2+ODAC (if they do another run)
>AMD based HTPC, set up with Kodi and EmulationStation for dem games
>HHKB, decent mouse/trackball
>New mic, desktop speakers
>MiniDSP + UMIK1 for the HTPC if you already have a HTPC
At least that's what I'd do if I had the money and didn't already have all of these things (the MiniDSP bundle excluded)
I'd suggest making the beats
I'm just some random guy who plays emulated fightan vidya because
> muh botnet
> muh shitty modern vidya
> muh freedumz
At least with the beats you're producing something people would appreciate you for if you do it well.
Right now? I need a new fridge. I've been meaning to get a new phone this year, too.
Computer related? I've got almost everything now, maybe an amp to go with my DT880 that's currently in the mail. And a better mechanical keyboard, mine's just too large. And maybe a good desk mic.
A new computer case (HAF XB looks to be suitable), a proper workstation motherboard for my Xeon (ASUS P9X79 WS looks to be good), more ram, as 8GB isn't enough, a 120GB SSD, and maybe a bigger secondary monitor.
I wonder when I'm going to just buy the fucking thing, it's not THAT expensive, but I can't really justify spending 150 or so on it.
Everything ever that can be conceptualized, even on a purely theoretical basis, and which has been produced by or directly used by people is technology. An acoustic guitar is also technology, as are its strings and the techniques used to produce them.
Then I guess I'd get a drumkit (electronic, can't have a loud-ass acoustic one in an apartment building). Sucks being a drummer in a band but not being able to practice at home.
I built a PC recently so I'm not in the market for PC parts anymore
I had the same school of thought - I was gonna by an R9 390X, but switched last minute and bought a 950. I realised I don't need any more power than what it offers, and it can handle 60fps in everything I've thrown at it 1080p at least high, and easily 300fps in Source (which is what I really bought it for).
It's a decent card for the money. It's a decent card regardless
Good choice bros, the amd's don't support hdmi 2.0
>tfw I'm already on 10.5TB of ... Linux ISOs
Man, these ISOs really take up a lot of room. My collection is 5k and growing.
At this rate, I'll need another 6TB HDD by the end of this month.
