>>52473579 Yeah, we knew Amoled is a meme. What else is knew...
I told you guys countless of times not to get amoled phones. That's why I got an LCD phone, even though it's worse in terms of display quality, it will last longer. Amoleds are for people who like to burn money in just one year or less just to have the latest and baddest tech.
>>52473579 taking a picture of a probably frozen samsung demo loop to prove that they can suffer from burn in is retarded. Whether they can when you display the same thing on them for 3 months at maximum brightness 24/7 is not relevant. Whether they do it in day to day use it.
That being said in current gen AMOLED devices that I've owned I do see some slight status bar burn in.
My s4 active's display completely shit itself a few months ago. It didn't just burn in, it completely distorted my screen with shit left and right on top of the normal burn in. The part was only about $50 to replace but that's still retarded.
>>52474301 I've had my note 5 since before launch and it has zero burn in after 5 months. Use auto brightness and you're fine as long as yof don't use max brightness for hours on end like the display model in the OP and you're fine.
>>52474922 Im not justifying anything, Im posting how my phone is working now, after 4 years, and plenty of others anon with S2 phone have the same experience, zero issues with the screen. Look on the archives, this guys keep posting the same shit every week or so, of course not all anons are here at all times.
>>52474922 >inferior technology OLED tech surpassed LCDs in almost every respect around 10-12 months ago. In another year OLEDs will be far superior as OLED research and advancement is far outpacing LCDs right now.
>>52474858 Not really. Each time a phone charges to 100% (could be in one charge, could be 50% when charging twice, as long as it adds up to 100%), it completes a charge cycle. After 500 (maybe after 2 years; it's an estimate) charge cycles, the lithium ion battery has deteriorated enough to replace. >but muh full charge cycle A full cycle (0 to 100 in one charge session) is a meme from the Nickel-Cadmium days. Tl;dr A drop under 10% doesn't harm the battery.
>>52474978 >zero issues with the screen. Except that Amoled is a shit technology that has had issues with burn in with many people for many years, not only one autist on /g/ Samshit can't into display tech. It's as simple as that. The color accuracy, black levels, and brightness is relatively shit for the price samshit charges for their flagships. I'm not even talking about all the defects >>52474989 >>52475042 I'm talking about Amoled, never once did I mention or hint at OLED. If you got the implication that gook screen technologies means everything that ever came out of Asia then you seem to have misunderstood.
>>52475180 Protip, they're not even close. Just because they sound close in your retarded mind doesn't mean they are related. Screen tech research overlaps at certain points. OLED and AMOLED might suffer from similar drawbacks. Doesn't mean they are related or at the same quality level. There is a reason why OLED costs money and AMOLED is mass produced into Samshit phones
>>52475049 it's in fact better for lithium-ion batteries to be charged only after being emptied of any energy , which is the opposite of most other kind of batteries (lead etc...) which shouldn't be emptied before recharge.
>>52475565 Sorry, I go by how a display looks to me and the amount of issues that it has been known to have over its development, not what some stupid faggot links on an archaic site that they claim is an industry leader in evaluating screen tech. If they were valuable in the display industry then they would present themselves as such and would be cited by everyone, not one Samshit shill.
>>52476079 It's a company mainly focused on providing feed back directly to manufacturers, they aren't particularly oriented towards consumer journalism, hence the article I linked you to having a lot of indepth technical analysis without much explanation for normies.
