Does /g/ practice proper posture?
Misconception perpetuated by applel marketing in the 90s.(or so my doctor told me)
When you look straight out, you should be looking at either the top bezel, or roughly 2" under the top bezel of your monitor.
I always sit with my legs pulled up
please tell me I'm not the only one
>30° downward angle
Yes, I want to experience laptop-tier ergonomics while using my desktop.
Recliner chair and one of these.
Yes I am off my meds today, wanna fight about it.
I always lean forwards and stick my neck out like a turtle
This is me right now in Apple bees, slouched over my phone, my date is still eating (I finished mine within a minute of getting it and started browsing)
I don't get the reference?
What is big boss?
It's also not my mom
Also any hints? She's about to drive me home and I want to get in her pants
Posture is a fucking meme. No matter how you look at it, sitting is bad, plain and simple. Standing is vastly superior for blood flow and overall health. Man evolved to stand and walk, not sit around like niggers eating bananas.
>Man evolved to stand and walk
False. Walk, yes. Stand, not so much.
Standing still is not as bad as sitting but it is still not good for your body for long periods of time. It fucks up your knees and back, increases chance of varicose veins.
Humans are just not well suited to being still for long periods of time. Even when we sleep we automatically roll around (if you don't, bad shit happens).
>dead, dyed hair
>went on a "date" completely covered in cat hair
>not even nice big tits. They're not small, but for someone who looks like she eats a whole cow for every meal they should be bigger
>dat arm fat shows she's been a fatty since before puberty, has never done any exercise at all
>friends cousin weighed 200+ pounds
>lost all the weight, looks amazing
>mfw tits stayed the same size
OH NO! It's like she's a HUMAN or something! Having acne is a sure sign no one's airbrushed her and we can't have that now, can we?
Only virgins who can't get a chick would think having a little acne is a deal breaker you massive faggot
one does not simply set their monitors bezel at eye level
I don't have the pic on the phone but girls with unnatural hair color are trouble.
Don't do it mang.
Pretend to go to the bathroom and never return.
why not both?
>feet up next to or between screens
>left hand under right left on keyboard
>right hand on mouse or keyboard
>relaxed on pillowed in chair.
it works well for browsing, chat and videos. when i want to watch a long film i can get on a bed behind the chair which can be propped with pillows to make it like a couch.
pic related my battle position.
needless to say i can sit up and use the keyboard like >>52465178
if i need to, like if i'm just checking a site for a minute or have some actually coding to do where i need both hands without going under my leg.
Well not him, but ballet requires a shit load of strength, and when you are required to catch women when you dance which includes grabbing their tits and/or crotch if that's what it takes; if I wasn't such a prejudiced kid when I was younger I would be ripped AND be drowning in a bunch of pussy.
I started in middle school for reasons I can't even remember. It was my job until I decided I hated it as a job and wanted to do something more "mathy" and discovered programming (which isn't that mathy but is fun nonetheless.)
i regret buying a Markus chair
>enjoy your sciatica
Remember proper lumbar support anon.
my posture is better on some days but its probably not so great anons.
This is this same exact chair I've been using for the last 8 years. $25 at Staples
>mfw I see people discussing chair "technology" here
>people sit for longer than 20 minutes at a time
>people pay hundreds of dollars for a chair
>being a fat fatty nerd
Shut this fucking meme up. I was standing at work for 3 hours yesterday and my lower back wanted to shoot me repeatedly for putting it in that pain.
Fuck your standing posture meme, unless you're walking around or sitting every once in a while, and only standing for no more than like 15 minutes in one position, this is just a fucking shill for tall computer desks.
So get an adjustable desk and monitors with decent stands that let you adjust their height ?
It's not that hard to get a setup that fits your height regardless of how tall or short you are.
You just have to stop looking at retarded cheap furniture, anon.
Or alternatively, build your own.
I own an adjustable desk, and that bitch can be anywhere between 64cm and 170cm tall. It'll fit literally anyone who might want to use it.
>Wearing shoes inside your house
Do people really do this ?
Bright colors are to warn you that they're poisonous.
My only hope is that when you ignore this warning and you get bitten, you'll remember this post and not make the same mistake twice.
Wtf guise, my elbow comfortably rests an inch above my lap. Sitting on a bar stool would be awkward. Meanwhile, I'd need to lower my 1440p monitor to the desk surface or even lower to match the top to my eyes.
My neck is suffering, but overall it's really comfy.
Especially when I only use a mouse.
is that two light sticks mounted in front of the monitor?
light sticks = >pic related
>not using your bed as a chair
Can't get any more comfortable.
>not sitting in the L position
>only ionizing radiation is harmful
>lol visible light is 600THz so 2.4/5/60GHz is the same
>radar systems do not cook birds flying by
it's like you just deny that at least 15 different spectroscopic methods exist
Because, you have a millitary grade wifi emitter in your laptop. With enough power you could fry smething using any wawelength.
Tell me please how would low energy, non ionising radiation case any harm to you.
If you don't sit like this you are a fucking pleb
I think I aced it. Maybe I'm a bit more slouched, depending on use.
I'm amazed my neck isn't hurting, though it does it seasonally. Sometimes my back lights up and it's like that for two weeks, then I go back to passive mode and it's not like I sit all of my free time behind a computer screen. I had an ergonomic chair, still do, but I put it in the cellar and instead I use this ikea chair I got for a hundred. It's mega comfortable and swivels, it's perfect really.
My wife and I are thinking of getting Embody chairs and we have our adjustable standing desks arriving tomorrow. At work I sit on an Aeron chair for 8 hours. The Embody's probably the best chair you could get for your posture currently.
Is it time to move on from /g/ and go to greener pastures when the current state of what defines a good chair is if their favor e-sport gamer has the same chair?
as someone who works 12 hours a day with an estimated.. 10 hours? of that day spent standing up.. standing desks are a fucking joke dude. im just waiting to leave this shitty fucking job and get a nice SIT DOWN JOB :)
>tfw there was a time when i actually considered this
I have all the ingredients for a proper posture yet I always seem to lurch forward and force my face closer to the screen. And my ass always goes numb when I try to sit in a proper position with both feet on the ground. I usually just slavsquat in the chair which probably fucks up my knees to no end.
I believed that my eyesight was going bad at one point but a 20/20 test last month quelled that fear.
the perixx perimice-515 (wired), i tried an anker mouse after falling for the meme mice but it was shit because it had a huge shark fin spike on top which stabs the hand if you grab it. all other mice have this sharp spike, which is a pain to grab from the top (you have to do a handshake style motion to get a hold on it), also the high top is easy to tip over if you move ur hand right from the keyboard to grab it.
the perimice is the only one i could find without such a retarded design. it's made in germany so you know it's good. it doesn't tip over since it's lower high and smooth top. still takes a lil getting used to but it's leaps and bonds better then anker mice.
but raising my monitor is the only thing that gets me to sit straight. if I have it at eye level or lower I just slouch.
15 seconds drawing but shows the point. The it's not a chair it's a couch for a single person that is very low to the ground comfortable as shit.
had this desk for 5 years
just tried to do this
my shins are rip
I usually have my legs crossed. My neck posture is terrible because I usually lean back in my chair a bit and end up craning my neck forwards.
Worst is when I rest my feet so that I'm leaning back fully. Then my neck is not in a good state.
I used to sit like this for many years
Now my knees are fucked and I'm always uncomfortable not being able to sit like this anymore
Where my standing desk bros at? Fucking keeps your circulation going, lower cardio vascular risk and easy to fap
