>buy WD Green, they're more quiet and cooler than WD Blue
>mfw mine vibrates like an epileptic stroke addict and runs at 40C while my WD Blue is silent and runs at 35

>Not buying Seagate
This is why /g/ is garbage. Fucking useless children

Same thing, I use the fractal r5 case with mounting brackets that has rubber gramuts for anti vibration, when I move files or access files on my WD green it makes horrible loud noise and vibrates me whole case.

fuck off shill
seagate drives are going to be infinitely more quiet than the SD equivalent, after it breaks from a month of a use.

fucking this
i honestly don't get the h8 for seagate. I've had seagate drives in my system that are over 6 years old and they still run as if they are brand new.
Every WD drive i've had has been slow and clunky as fuck.

i have the R5 as well. Make sure that your power and sata cables arnt touching the metal chasis or bending against it as that will cause the case to vibrate from the vibrating hard drive.

I got a 3tb Seagate
They have UNGODLY failure rates
But somehow is running to this day, and I got it early last year

Wtf are you smoking?
WD green is for archival, as in: write to it once, then store it off site, not plugged in.

Don't worry. Blue will have the same quality.
Just remind you never buy Seagate full of Chinese back-doors which will be broken after week of use!
