Let's imagine I have pizza pictures stored in my home server, so I encrypt it with whatever Linux uses to encrypt an entire disk. But I also want efficient single-file backups like rsync, not "dd an entire 1TB disk every night". If I simply use a rsync cron job it will copy the files unencrypted, right? How can I have efficient backups with full-disk encryption?
you might be literally retarded
disk a:encrypted source media
disk b:encrypted backup media
mount both, run backup from a to b, dismount b, done
now fuck off
either;
rsync the mounted cleartext to a cleartext mount of another encrypted volume
(lots of overhead)
or
rsync the ciphertext itself to the other volume
(may not be sufficiently flexible, depending on requirements)

the second method is just asking to get everything fucked up

Saged, reported, called the cops, called moot, called the Schutzstaffel, called the FBI

If you don't decrypt you will be convicted and jailed, then the procedure repeats until you give it up.

What are cheese pizza sites actually like? I imagine they have a super autistic culture but I'm not gonna look into it myself
