Friendly reminder that Intel Skylake chips are sending your data straight off to the NSA via their on-die cellular modem.

Daily reminder that you're delusional if you think AMD CPUs offer any more protection.

There is absolutely no way to escape hardware backdoors other than to use ancient components.

Reminder that LGA 1366 is the last line of Intel processors that is government killswitch free

You have something to hide, don't you?

you're litterly the dumbest person ever
>being black was illegal
>smoking weed is illegal
>being gay was illegal
Better not talk about these things because I'll go to jail. Better never try to change anything for the better. Better just be happy with what I have otherwise the government might think I'm bad.
>>52447116
2/3 examples should be illegal.

Being black and being gay?

Yeah I was going to say, I'm pretty sure I can block cellular reception inside my case for about twenty dollars
>>52446471
It's logical to suspect that, since the CPU itself has problems, the on-die cellular modem is probably broken as well. Nice try NSA.
>>52446471
Wouldn't it be easier to root the wifi card at the cpu's pci interface? Who actually uses external hardware to check what their wifi card is sending?
>>52446471
Only the tablet SKU that comes in BGA has the option for an on-die LTE modem. None of the desktop or laptop processors do. That's a ton of wasted space.
It's also not actually on-die. Multi-die package.
But of course you'd know that, because you've decapped one?
If you want to worry about the platform integrity of x86, you're years late: Intel ME, AMD's recent equivalent. Also ARM TrustZone implementations. You're probably going to need RISC-V.
