Reminder

I'd call this "/brt/ - Backup Reminder Thread".
I would also add FAQ and maybe some useful links for good backup strategies. It would be cool.
daily reminder to back up your worthless chinese cartoons that can easily be redownloaded, faggots.

/g/ does not need another subreddit
What's /g/'s preferred backup strategy?
I have syncthing sync files between my laptop which keeps them safe (unless housefire/both get stolen at the same time). I'm thinking of adding an rPi to my network so that there's always one off-site location to sync to (and from).
Anyone have experience with this? Other preferred software?

there should be a /gg/ board for tech generals
>>52438090
Maybe we could get rid of /ptg/, since it's only meant for arrogant pricks and everybody hates it. At least this could be useful.

I like to live on the edge
>he doesn't have an rsync cron job
>external 2.5" HDD fell down from over 1.5m
>almost have a heart attack
>it still works fine even though it's a shitty seagate 1TB

I seriously don't get why /ptg/ is even allowed here - it's literally shitposting.
>>52441042
It's obviously containment thread for shitposting.
I'm sure /g/ will take benefit by a /brt/. I have already counted 4 active threads about backup consulting.

>another subreddit
Yay!

It's all about preserving the right ones. /ptg/ is garbage, /brt/ could be useful.
