Update the filters, had the same issue today.
If you we're actually smart you checked the console and saw that the client was blocking the static assets, and that opening them gives a Ublock screen.

It might be that YouTube changed their static asset location to the same where adds come from.

I'm new to the mpv media player. I'm running it on my second screen watching Youtube atm, I noticed it will stutter and drop a few audio frames when I'm doing stuff (browsing websites in Firefox, my computer is old). Is there a setting that will prevent/improve this? I don't have this issue with other media players

Can confirm, been happening to me, more so on long videos, video just stops playing with black screen, if you pause adblock and unpause it again it fixes it for that video, sometimes u need to do it 2 or 3 times.
