mobo manufacturers are dicey though with who likes what. i've had problems with asus and msi but never had issues with asrock or gigabyte. other people report different results. if i was you, i would prefer gigabyte though. especially for lower end motherboards

also op, if you remove the ssd and buy a cheaper cpu cooler, you might be able to replace the cpu for the athlon x4 860k and get an offboard gpu. the r9 280 is probably the best one for you. you might need to go from a 2tb hdd to 1tb one too though, not sure
