What headphone stand do you use?
>exposing headphones when they're not in use
The EM noise that surrounds us (even more so if you place headphones near your PC, that literally destroys them) has negative impact on the magnets on headphones and static electricity detoriates them. You should ONLY store them in an EM-proof case/cage when you aren't using them.
There was this all aluminum one for $20 on Amazon the other day, so I picked it up. I was about to get a ripoff omega wood stand, but this looked nicer to me.
I used to use the Spectrum Euro Banana Hanger. Now I just put my headphones on the desk.
I built mine with a 2x4, metallic spraypaint, and selfie sticks from the dollar store. Spent less than $10 and I'm okay. Just need a third pair of headphones.
Made my own, even beveled a couple sides. My desk is a fucking mess though
I have this jury-rigged thing. I have the clip from a lamp like
and then through that, there's a metal rod - pic related - that fit through it almost perfectly. The whole assembly is clamped to a shelf, the kind where you have the rails screwed into the wall and you can take the brackets out and move them up and down if you need more vertical space. I should just post a pic but I'm lazy af right now.

I just use this, because reasons
None, my headphones are robust enough to lay on the desk
the one i made myself with scrap metal that i found + some 3d printed parts
Also seems like a bit of effort to undo it all
