We're getting new cards this summer. Why the fuck are you buying a graphics card now, anon?
Oh right yeah I'll just wait 6 whole months to play video games. Wtf is wrong with you op you can always sell the gpu and upgrade.
This; I'd totally hotglue a water cooled Nano
They're still going to be selling 28nm Fiji throughout the entirety of 2016 as their high end SKU, with the dual Fiji card as the halo product. The two new 14nm 4th gen GCN cards will be entry level and mid range.
Bought a 960 as a placeholder early last year for my Linux gaymen. My 4690k can't wait for Pascal
>cant max GTAV
You couldnt max that game with 3 way Fury Xs. Or you could max it with a 970 OC, lel.
>cant max FO4
Nothing can max FO4 without constant drops to <10fps. Its a shitty console port.
>i make sure that everyone on /g/ knows i hate games by shitposting in graphics card threads
Samsung is bring their 10nm node online next year and will have it in production early on for cellphone SoCs. They'll be continuing their partnership with GloFo so they'll have parity once again with Fab8.
The two are sharing a wealth of IP from the IBM acquisition, chances are that there won't be any major hiccups down to 5nm since the R&D is already done. Samsung/GloFo just have to purchase the tooling and get their lines to volume ready.
Both of them have also been spending quite a bit on bleeding edge IP from STMicro so it'll be pretty interesting to see how things turn out given IBM's own massive investment in fully depleted ET-SOI. If GloFo's 22nm FDX is any indication then it'll be really exciting throughout the rest of this decade/
Why do people like you just feel perfectly okay making entirely uninformed statements while pretending to be an authority on such matters?
Because I need a new GPU now. Well now being last September when I bought my 390, don't regret it a single bit. Still looking forward to seeing what Polaris and Pascal bring but I have no desire to upgrade until 4k 60fps Ultra gaming hits the 390 price range.
