Samsung is bring their 10nm node online next year and will have it in production early on for cellphone SoCs. They'll be continuing their partnership with GloFo so they'll have parity once again with Fab8.
The two are sharing a wealth of IP from the IBM acquisition, chances are that there won't be any major hiccups down to 5nm since the R&D is already done. Samsung/GloFo just have to purchase the tooling and get their lines to volume ready.
Both of them have also been spending quite a bit on bleeding edge IP from STMicro so it'll be pretty interesting to see how things turn out given IBM's own massive investment in fully depleted ET-SOI. If GloFo's 22nm FDX is any indication then it'll be really exciting throughout the rest of this decade/
