I have had bad experiences with both razer products I owned, keyboard and mouse, breaking just after the warranty. I have tried their headphones in the past, they feel pretty cheap and don't sound especially good.

There's probably no one around here who could adress this objectively. Since I doubt Razor has disclosed what sort of drivers and materials they're actually using. Altho, one could possibly suspect they're a bit overpriced seeing they'll probably still turn a profit on these things even with 50% off, and considering the price one could possibly suspect they're not extremely high quality parts. But it's nothing we can say for sure, those chinese factories produce exactly what the customer specifies, so what OP needs to do is to leave this shitty thread and actually go try a pair for himself somewhere, have a feel, have a listen, are they comfy on longer sessions etc.

I was given a pair of the Razer Kraken 7.1 headsets. The audio is decent, surround is nice while gaming. the mic is fucking garbage and do not use their software, shit mines your data hard as fuck.

You can find much better quality headphones and a separate mic for the same price

The mech keyboard guys seem to like the QuickFire Rapid, though - still has that g4m3r aesthetic if u want the grrl gamers on ur d but is a decent mech as well

Even with a discount, their headsets are pretty shite in terms of price->performance. I own a pair of original Krakens. To be fair, they're quite comfortable. And the flexible Mic actually came a little bit in handy at times. And the ability to store it was also pretty fucking fab. After many, many years, and plenty of abuse, they still work as well as they did originally.
Now, compared to a pair of Superlux HD668Bs I got for damn close to $40, they're awful. I had spent closer to $70 or $80 for the Kraken, and they're definitely not worth that price. The Mic isn't walmart-tier, but it isn't far off. It definitely sounds like some shit you bought at Best Buy. Good enough for Pubs or older games with shitty voice chat anyway, garbage for anything else. I don't regret buying the Kraken, but I wouldn't do it again, thats for sure. Their newer headphones, I hear, are built by the same OEM as Skullcandy, whom has also stepped up their quality game amiss complaints about shitty audio quality, but I wouldn't buy them for their quality, still. I'd buy them for convenience of features, if their features are actually convenient for you.

Depends on the price after 50% off 2bh. Their headsets aren't bad, but they're kinda ugly. Considering you're just wearing it around your computer who cares tho.

For about 20-25 bucks it'd be a great deal if you can get it, but they're not nearly good enough to be worth 50 bucks.

nothing sparked my interests. their keyboards either use shitty blues or their own "switches" let alone their keyboards are of basic quality. they don't offer double shot key caps for example.

Mine started misclicking after 4 years or so. I don't blame razer because it was really dirty when I took it apart. I have a steelseries kinzu v2 and it's just not as good.

Have some open back steel series Siberia which clamp to my head an are comfy for short term use but hours on end the cushion bends my ear and the pain slowly rolls in. The audio quality is decent but make sure you test the headphones on for an hour before you decide.
