I want to get off the Windows 10 Botnet ride

What would be the best Linux distro to start off from if I have never used Linux?

Windows Vista

Real answer here.

Linux Mint. It comes with pretty much everything. It's a bit bloated but no worse than Windows.

After being on that for 4-6 months move to a distro like Antergos or Fedora and stay on it another 4-6 months.

After that you can move on the Arch or Debian minimal.

Forgot to add that only reason I choose Mint over Ubuntu us because Mints dev hates Jews.

So take that as you will.

I just beat ya by a day.
Linux Mint 17.3 w/Cinnamon.
It's bad ass, clean, fast as fuck, stable, n00b friendly, and ALL drivers are no prob-- wifi? external / extra monitors?
NO PROB LINUX HAS ARRIVED.
ps: fuck fedora. they have MUCH fix work to still do.

Clement Lefebrve, the Mint developer, doesn't hate jews. he opposes the actions/support of the Israeli government in their war with Palestinians

ubuntu is beginner friendly and a pretty standard distro to start with. i used it first, now I'm using xubuntu because it comes with a different desktop environment (xfce) which i like more than ubuntu's unity DE.

Thanks, will look into Mint then.

FreeBSD
It's very easy to learn.

Just install Deepin. Comes with a dock preconfigured. A decent app store. Only thing missing is the gayest anime wallpaper you can find preferably pink and you're good to go.
