anyone use a g602?

I give my leftie Deathadder 3.5 an 8/10. Its shape is very comfy.
>>
>>52400831
Deathadders would be decent mice if it weren't for the fact that they break down WAY too soon.

Still have my old faithful mx518.
See no reason to change. What are those "angle snapping" issues?

What is the new god of /g/ that replaces the G400 (and is equivalent for sensor quality/accuracy, comfort, etc)?
>>
>>52400831
I'm left handed and I don't understand why people would want to use left handed mice when qwerty and most interfaces are designed around right handedness, if you could mirror an OS and every program and flip the layout of a keyboard then I'd might consider going left handed.
>>
what does /g/ think of the mionix castor?

I got lucky with mine. Bought it mid 2011 and all that's broken is middle mouse click. Thankfully I never use that.

The side buttons could be moved forward a bit. Other than that, it's solid, comfy, accurate, and plug-n-play
>>

>>
>>52400957
Great mouse if you are not a weak fag complaining about the weight.

>Pointer is flawless
>Custom dpi buttons, scrolling wheel that >Allows side scrolling
>Adjustable weight

Why have you not purchased one yet?
Prove me wrong senpais.
>>
>>52401010
what modern logitech mouse doesn't allow side scrolling?
>>
>>52400980
What is different between the G400 and G400s?
>>
>>52400918
anon, my deathadder is also more or less that old (a bit older). My middle click also broke some 2 months ago. Its easily fixable: what happens is that a little circular piece that connects to the scrolling sensor wears down with time and use. You can repair it if you compensate for the volume of plastic it lost over the years, e.g. with a tiny amount of strong glue, or something of the sort. Good luck
>>
>>52401034
Which one that does is better than the g502?
>>
>>52401042
nothing, they are both meme mice.
>>
>>52401042
I dont know cause I never had a 400 but I have a mx518 and the plastic they use in the 400s really works if you have sweaty hands the cable is thinner tho
>>

ok feel but the rubber grip is all but gone after only 8 months of use
>>
>>52401042
G400s looks like shit, but has a better sensor with a better DPI, G400 has 3600 and G400s has 4000.
>>
>>52401048
that depends on the individual and how they prioritize and value different features.

you can belittle people's considerations all you want but weight could be a real deal breaker for someone.

when it comes to peripherals it's mostly about preference.
>>
>>52401105
what do you play or use it for?

that shit looks like you'd be leaving little bits of rubber and grime all over your mouse pad and thumb
>>
>>52400957

do you play fps? does it track well? have acelleration issues?

also does the space between lmb and rmb feel weird or does it feel just fine, I've been watching some reviews and people complain that there is too much of a gap.
>>
>>52401281
i played a few hrs of CS GO, I'm pretty shit tho so can't comment on that
tracking is pretty good, last mouse was a deathadder 2013 that broke
no acceleration issues so far
button spacing is only an issue for manlets
yeah it's pretty comfy for a wireless
>>
>>52401316

>>
>>52400790
>Commonly reccommended
>>
>>52401337

>>
>>52400949
I have naos7000 which is just castor with palm grip. Its a great mouse, 1000ghz, feels nice, no acceleration. It is very lightweight, which is the only downside
>>
>>52401229
I have one and I use a claw grip, unfortunately my hand does cramp up after extended usage. Sucks because it's a great mouse otherwise.
>>
I've been using a ss sensei em ell /g/ since it came out and before we knew about the shitty sensors. Regardless I've had a comfy time and everything still works on it.
>>
>>52401229
I've got really big hands, so I'm basically forced to use claw grip on any mouse, and the G502 feels pretty nice to me. I've got about 500 hrs on CSGO with the 502, and it feels totally fine, even after more than 4 hours of continuous use(I don't usually spend more than that amount of time gaming). Sensor and switches are god tier too, so that's a plus. Only issue I have is that the scroll wheel is slightly loose/wobbly
>>
>>52401105
>>52401199
I can relate to that deformation of the side grip. Don't know why, but I don't eat around my computer and actually wash my hands, but it still is worn down like crazy, and specifically in that spot. Really distracting, and a shame on an otherwise great mouse.
>>
Anker 8200 dpi mouse for $30. needed something cheap with extra buttons. i use the three side thumb buttons for hiding/showing desktop, minimizing current window, and one for double clicking (easier to highlight text when programming, use it a shitton).
rate my autism
>>
>>52400790
fun fact: you can actually bind the G600's buttons to shit like F13-F24, so it's not exactly like the m1/m2/mb/fwd/back limitations of most software even matter.

combined with SW scripting like AutoHotKey, it's a god-tier mouse for productivity
>>
>>52401199
yeah it does flake off bit by bit, and it started happening day 1 too, i do use a firm grip i guess?

hardest work it does,i play csgo and mouse trainers... not the 20 hour marathon wow sessions i usually associate with wear on mouses.
>>
Why do people shit on the razer mamba?
I've had the 2012 tournament edition (i was young and inexperienced at the time) as my daily driver for all these years, and from my experience it's just a deathadder that can go wireless (great for watching movies if your pc is hooked up to a tv or some such shit) have had no issues with it, except it's a bitch to clean.

In seriousness, I use a Pixart sensor mouse made in China for the entirety of my life, and it's alright, though not perfectly accurate. It's also really light and more durable than I thought. It's not some disgusting ABS garbage for sure. After about 12 years though, it's actually beginning to show some wear. I'm wondering what's a decent, durable mouse with a flawless sensor for under 30 bux?

Mionix Avior 7000 has served me well for just over a year now. Best mouse I have used in during that time. But the scroll wheel is starting to fail since a few days ago. Scroll functionality is actually fine but sometimes it can't be clicked. Maybe it has to do with the roughly 1000 hours of ArmA 3 played with this thing? Who knows. That game makes have use of the scroll wheel.

Anyway, got Amazon to send me a replacement and am not happy with that one either. Scroll wheel makes a scratchy sound and feels weird when scrolling up right out of the box. Sticking to my old one for now, unless the it brakes comepletely before I have to send one of the back within the next ~30 days.

Maybe I will order the replacement 'glidez' so I can open this one up and try to fix it. It's really shitty to hide the screws under the mouse feet.

I like your style. I've got a g400, IME, g9x and a Spawn and the Spawn is my weapon of choice. g400 is okay but in comparison is built like crap and the shape isn't my thing.
>>
>>52416615
Nope, which games will you be playing ?
Also i was referring to the actual hand size, some people have big hands and small but good mice aren't a good option for them.
>>
>>52400790
>Naos 7000
Has some trouble tracking on my Hayate Otsu mouse pad, though it's probably the pad's fault. I think increasing the LOD fixes it.

The "ergonomic" grooves are pretty shitty because I can't palm my mouse without my fingers touching the mouse pad. Now I've learned to rest my two fingers on the ridge instead, so my fingers don't feel cramped anymore.

It's a great mouse if your hand fits the mouse. Unfortunately, it's not the other way around.
>>
>>52416642
what measurement?
>>
>Logitech G600
Amazing product, I've never used another gaymen mouse but it has been a 10/10 with outstanding comfort and performance in my hand until recently.

The middle click on the wheel has almost entirely stopped working after about 2 years of intensive use. I have to press it down extremely hard to register a middle click, and even then its only a 50/50 chance that it'll register the click. However I just re-bound middle click to the DPI switch button since I never cycle between DPI settings, nothing has changed.

/endblog

On another note, does anyone know if there are any "affordable" mice that have BOTH a ring finger click and mouse wheel left and right tilt clicks? I want to have a second one for my laptop without having to use my Desktop's mouse.

Mionix Naos 7000. 9/10. Comfortable as all fuck, optical sensor, no angle snapping or acceleration issues, and a good scrollwheel.

Only issues I take with it are that the rubber coating gets gross after a while and can attract dust etc. All other problems lie in the software. It is hard to set decent macros and while they give you a fair amount of customization options, a lot of them are just gimmicky and do not affect anything at all.

G700 was really solid mice, it was solidly built and it is not an meme mouse, i got use of every button, design was perfect and it actually looked good(not like some "gamer gear" but actually decent, not flashy mouse),

why they did that shitty 700s revision is beyond me.

Only fault to mouse would maybe be price, but when I see what crap they are selling in Razor for 50-80$,
G700 looked and feeled like they actually put material and R&D worth of 50$.

Underrated mouse if its in shittier.

I loved mine before it started going apeshit.
I found the mouse wheel broke fairly early (and I wasn't hard on it), so middle-clicking got gradually worse.
I had to get rid of it when the battery and charger went wonky; the mouse would flash and jitter like a raver ODing on crack if unplugged, it would just not work properly if plugged in, but I found removing the batteries removed the jitter (but I still had to deal with flashing)

I eventually replaced it with the E-Blue Mazer, because I couldn't find another sidewinder. Here's my review: Don't. I hated this mouse the moment I plugged it in. No way to turn the distracting blue light off, mouse wheel never worked properly. Requires extra software. Horrible.

Now I'm reading this thread to see what I should replace my expensive new mouse with. Sad thing, I thought about stealing my ancient Logitech mouse from work and giving them my POS because it works so well. Areas of the mouse are SHINY SMOOTH because they've been polished by human hands.

This is true. My deathadder just started to have one of the buttons act up so instead of resoldering it, I forged an invoice and sent it back to razer.

In the mean time, I'm using an M705 and when actually set up (buttons configured, dpi turned up, etc), it's very nice.

So few mice cater to our style. :(

They're all back-heavy. Even the ones that are supposedly claw-friendly (I'm actually hoverhand fingertip). The center of weight is never in the centroid of the fingertips+thumb tip.

Strangely the best shaped and balanced mouse I've ever used with our style was the universally hated puck mouse from Apple.

However that was the only thing going for it. Tracking was dogshit (although to be fair I used it on a mac so it could have been an OS problem, but I find it likely that it was both the sensor and the OS). Lack of any modern features like A FUCKING SECOND BUTTON LET ALONE A SCROLL WHEEL. Totally unusable.

I find pic related to be perfect for my claw/fingertip grip mainly due to it's symmetrical shape (no stupid thumb holder) and fairly light weight.

Deathadder was a fail for me, the sides started to separate after 9 months-ish and the middle mouse click broke after a year.

Looking at getting the MIONIX AVIOR 7000 for the extra buttons on the side, any right handers have experience with it that justify not getting the right handed version?

Also play Arma (1000hr club as well bro), I suspect it's why my mouse fell apart.

I still have this mouse, but it sits and collects dust as I use my FK'14 as my daily driver. I also have a G400. Currently waiting for Logitech's license on the Pixart 3366 to expire, so other mice can use the God Tier sensor.

hey man >>52406856 here,
i am right handed. so i'll give you sort of a short review.

I initially bought this mouse because I suffered from slight wrist pains caused by extended time using a mouse with my right hand eexclusively (Logitech MX 512 I think back then, which I liked for a long time but after many years of use it became very uncomfortable to me for some reason). So I wanted to be able to alternate between my right and left hand. I do this sometimes now and it is a great feature to have. You can just set two profiles, one for each hand and switch at the press of a button.

You definitely sacrifice a little bit of comfort in terms of the mouse's body shape with an ambidextrous, symmetrical design. A right handed mouse for example, in my opinion, should be slanted the right at least a little bit - sort of approaching a vertical mouse design if you will.

But the symmetrical layout of the side buttons was never an issue for me. Some people say they get in the way but not for my grip style. This means that they are not easily reachable for me as well though.

The shape of the body makes it so that it is very easy to lift - which is not the case with neither the Naos nor the Castor and might be important depending on dpi and resolution used.

In terms of build quality I would rate it very highly. Even though my scroll wheel has a slight issue now. And the replacement that was sent from Amazon shows now 'real' flaws either - I'm just very picky I guess.

It is a rather lightweight mouse, which I like. The cable is braided and very flexible - feel this is rare. The buttons all feel very nice, good switches under all of them apparently. Importantly there's this small space to rest the ring finger on top - maybe only important to me but if the left and right mouse buttons reach all the way to the side when viewed from the top that's an absolute no-go design for me because it leads to accidental clicks with my grip style as I will essentially be resting two fingers on that button.

I love the rubber surface. It hasn't changed at all during the first year of use - I don't have sweaty hands btw. It's a very smooth, hard rubber coating.

Mouse wheel is great and sits very far in the front which is just perfect. Extremely easy to reach for me.

Tracking is flawless. Not snapping, smoothing, prediction or accelartion here. But all 3310 sensors are picky in terms of surface. I am using a Steelseries QCK and this combination has served me well. Lift off distance for me is lower that one CD which is crazy and perfect for gaming.

Customization. Five profile slots, every button reassignable, double click & scroll speed adjustable, pointer acceleration available, polling rate (125, 250, 500, 1000), 3 step dpi individually for X & Y in increments of 50 dpi between 50 and 7000, lif off distance adjustable, angle snapping available, LEDs can be turned off or customized individually with colors, pulsing, flashing and breathing. I have mine turned off except for when it is in left hand mode, so I ever forget or switch to lefty on accident I'll know right away. There's also marcos which I don't need.

So I've said it before, it's the best mouse I have ever owned so far. Friend of mine has a Roccat Kone XTD. That seems super comfy to me but I've had a bad first experience with Roccat and it's laser so yeah, I'd give the Avior 7000 my recommendation.

>This means that they are not easily reachable for me as well though.

I want to clearify, they are very well placed and easily reachable on the thumb side but not on the pinky side. Essentially I don't get an additional set of side buttons to be used with the pinky while using this mouse. Those buttons are effectively not there for me. I never thouch them on accident and can't comfortably reach them quickly to be of much use. They are to be used with the other hand's thumb and then they work well.

Everyone that bought this mouse, including me, was both being cucked by corsair, and didn't know enough about optical sensors to make a decent decision. This mouse has an awful imprecise sensor and is overpriced

If i were to take;
The usual sensei -> shitty surface coating
Mlg edition -> same shitty coating problem
Fnatic edition -> n o.

I have no choice, anon. I love the feel and grip, it's absolutely perfect to me.

I have searched a lot but i can't find any good completely black/dark grey mouse with at least 7 buttons that costs less than 60 €
Any tip?

Also why there is a big gap in prices between amazon america and amazon europe? I tought euro and dollar was almost the same or even euro > dollar

I had the double click issue, but it fixed itself somehow. My left-click just quit working, apparently the little piece of metal inside the button itself gets corroded. I had to take apart that tiny-ass button and hit it with sandpaper; now it works fine again. Only had one screw left when I put it back together...

Cant agree that the R.A.T is shiet tier... i love the thumb wheel and the 3 extra buttons.. they are great for me because im playing MilSims and other stuff that needs a lot of buttons. I own it some years now and there are no signs of malfunctioning. I agree that noone needs such a high sensitivity but there is sofware to change it.

I'll give it a try for sure, thanks a lot for the input. I think the rubberized surface will do fine for me, I'll see
