I use Arch for the up to date packages (My hardware isn't even supported in the kernel shipped with Ubuntu 15.10), but if there were an Ubuntu-style deskop-oriented distro with rolling release I'd switch in an instant.

I used Linux for close to 10 years before I decided that most of the lower-level control I was exercising over my operating system was pointless in the grand scheme of things. I sometimes miss the thrill of booting up my netbook, starting X and seeing that I'm only using 80 mbs of RAM, but that's not enough to dissuade me from using OS X. When your computer becomes a means to an end rather than a destination in itself, "just werks" goes a long way.
