HTC Vive is gonna be shown (a room scale vr demo of Tiltbrush to be more precise) on Jimmy Fallon in 6 hours.
it's on NBC. Is there any way to watch it live online? NBC's website only let's you watch the stream if you can verify your cable provider, and I'm outside the US.
Could anyone stream it or suggest a solution?
ustvnow, its suppose to be for americans who are outside the us to watch tv, it has shit quality but it works.
Tbh you're better just waiting after the show has ended to download an high quality scene release
Could anyone suggest a /technological/ solution? Come on guys, I know you're excited about coding in VR with multiple simulated monitors as I am.
Also, dumping /g/ related pics in return for help hopefully.
To watch NBC live online from outside the US. Already got an answer.
Not really. If you can use a keyboard without looking at it (i.e you're not a baby), combined with the camera & the chaperone system on the Vive you could easily use a keyboard in VR.
Also I used the DK1 & DK2 and yes they are shit for this purpose.
sweet. got a source for this semen demon too by any chance?
Sure I don't think coding in VR is better than anything else. I just think it would be really fun. You know, the idea of using a simulated environment to work instead of playing games.
that is my entire point, the 'idea' sounds good to children on the internet, but once you have actually used these things it instantly becomes apparent that what sounds like fun and MUH CYBERPUNK actually is fucking stupid in the real world
but most of these dumb vr retards are children watching peoples reactions on youtube which is utterly retarded
Haven't you heard about the Mura correction meme? It literally makes an uncalibrated 1080p display (yes, uncalibrated) look as good as 2160p. It might only be an optical illusion perpetrated by clever use of optics, but in the end, your brain accepts it just as much.
Thanks for the help guys, watched it. Was underwhelming. Made this webm for you.
>is this a Vive exclusive?
Yeah, at least atm. It's room scale VR so Oculus can't do it yet.
>It's room scale VR so Oculus can't do it yet.
That's not proper logic. Oculus can technically do room scale VR, and even have Chaperone. It's just not as easy to set up, and it isn't officially "supported" by them. It would be more correct to say
>Oculus doesn't support room scale, so Tiltbrush isn't supporting Oculus.
Fuck off. No one cares about your stupid price ass pulls.
>That's not proper logic.
> Oculus can technically do
> in an alternate universe
Fine, have another explanation. Oculus ships with an xbox 360 controller so you literally can't paint in Tiltbrush. Anyway it's a Vive launch app and it hasn't been announced for the Rift.
You could just buy the touch controllers and make your damn doodles and anime faces in 3d.
>It's just not as easy to set up, and it isn't officially "supported" by them. It would be more correct to say
At this point VR is so easy no nigger rig that anything can "do" anything. We're talking what's supported, what "Rift" itself can do, now something you can do with it.
