Noctua products actually start at $44,975.00. OP is too poor to afford memes.
>not using a be quiet dark rock 3
are you retarded op?
>still using fullATX cases and colossal coolers
are you retarded anon?
>works harder at less efficiency for higher CPU temps, but for a staggering 2 db difference!
oh, so the IMPROVED version of the rock 3 is still worse?
so you're telling me that even with two fans the rock 3 pro can't touch the d-15's cooling capability?
It's even worse than I thought, keep digging yourself deeper
I'm going to purchase the SilenX Effizio Case Fan. It costs nine dollars, which is more than the six dollar ARCTIC COOLING ARCTIC F8 Case Fan, but sometimes you have to spend more to get quality ;-)
noctua master race here
theres only 2 moving parts in my 200R
one is my S12II, the other is my U92 with low power adapter
everything in the case is below 40C and my room is ambient 73~
They're fucking huge but I think phanteks look pretty sweet.
Judging by the tape and inconsistent shadows under the rear blades, it's possible a holesaw attacked that area.
>Fans on heatsinks
>not using all-in-one water coolers such as this
It's like you want to /die foreveralone/ with fucking home-made Legos for support.
I've got that one I think.
It does put out a bit of noise under heavy load, but my CPU has never even his 70°c.
And I don't notice the noise because whenever I'm on the PC I always have headphones on anyway.
I like it, but it is a loud mouth.
>caring about the aesthetics of something that's gonna be locked away inside the case
This is trully the apex of faggotry.
I use the Dark rock 3, I want to change to the dark rock pro 3 but I'm not sure if it will fit
What I like about Noctua is there's no gimmicky styling. The fans are of that ugly color, sure, but otherwise it's strictly business. No gayman fins or flares, no stupid name like 'be quiet' or 'cryorig' no bullshit. Just high quality coolers with a simple design and simple fans that aren't very audible. That's why I got a noctua cooler instead of some brashy Phanteks block of iron.
I get it, though, some people want some edgy looking cooler that looks good viewed from their alien fetus looking case with a billion different leds. Looks cool with their razer gaming gear.
Actually there dumb dumb, when you're speaking of single layer applications you would be correct, but when talking about multiple layers, black is cooler. Theres a reason people in hot areas (such as the middle east) wear thin multiple black layers
Black makes very hot things cooler by increasing heat radiation. That's why Space Shuttle has black insulating plates in the hottest parts.
However at those temperatures your CPU runs supposedly 60C cores and like 40C radiators heat radiation is ALMOST NOTHING pretty close to zero, however layer of paint conducts heat way worse than metal does so black paint insulates and makes your cooler worse. A lot worse.
Are you going to carry it around to LAN parties, you fucking faggots?
A computer is supposed to be huge!
Pic related: it's a Cray supercomputer with a built-in sofa.
This is true. I bought this Thermalright and my 6700K idles at ~17C in a somewhat shitty case. Overclocked to 4.6GHz and never breaks 60C.
>water cooling your CPU
>not water cooling your GPU
>implying temperatures even matter
Unless you're at 80-90C and frying your components there is literally no difference between your cpu running 30C or 50C you fucking sperglords.
Take your gaming placebo back to >>>/v/
I bet you faggots also put your PC case on your desk and set up your gaymer shit LEDs to the maximum brightness.
>the CURRENT YEAR
>still using air cooling
Time to switch to liquid bros.
This is why I need a monster cooler (currently using the based silver arrow).
Most watercoolers are AIO shitters or fools who only put their cpu into their loop. No amigo, if you are going to watercool its because you are overclocking and that should mean mobo vrms as well.
EK sell a bunch of mobo blocks as well because thats the best way to push performance from a cpu (most watercooling fools have shit airflow so the vrms fry as they pump MOAR VOLTS through the mobo).
If you're going to blow a bunch of money on a PC, what reason isn't there to strive for perfection (as much as possible, at least) in every aspect of the system? I don't really enjoy using technology that feels cobbled together based on price point, I'd rather be able to appreciate it.
It seems there are a lot of quality products to choose from in this arena that will perform within most users' expectations, and as long as that applies to you as well, there's absolutely nothing wrong with going for something that looks as good as it works, function and form are generally only mutually exclusive in the Apple ecosystem.
>Most water cooling fools fall for the all-in-one meme coolers like this:
Which shows how retarded they are - it takes a 240mm AIO to outperform top end air and said 240mm units nearly always are louder to outperform the liekso f a D15 (as thewy all use shit fans).
If you are replacing the fans even then you aren't coming out much ahead of top end air and are spending a lot more.
>I don't really enjoy using technology that feels cobbled together based on price point, I'd rather be able to appreciate it.
You don't see it
>there's absolutely nothing wrong with going for something that looks as good as it works
and theres a lot of wrong for bashing a product for its looks despite the fact that is purpose is to function not stand on your desk
I don't care how a radiator/fan in my car looks and what color it is. You don't see it
Give it a little common sense,
1 you are living in an ice cave and those temps are valid
2 you are violating the secong law of termodynamics and are going to get swatted by universal physics police
3 you are getting wrong termal reading.
It's one of those.
What's you room temperature?
meme is supposed to be used to label something that is mediocre but popular due to propaganda thats posted on here and other tech circles. noctua heat management is actually good
