>getting cucked by your storage devices read and write cycle count
SSD's are nothing more than a dank meme
HDs don't have unlimited reads and writes either. Any activity you do with them mechanically wears them out little by little.
At my current rate of usage I'm not going to come even close the maximum writes on my SSD even after ten years of use.
Don't forget the power going off suddenly can completely kill an SSD leaving it unusable.
Also like 3 months without power before all data on it starts dying.
SSD's are meme central.
yeah and that's because of your "rate of usage"
use any SSD like you would use a HDD, for everything, OS and gaymes, all programs, constant reads and writes all the time and it will not come close to a couple years lifespan
why buy one if you're not using it properly?
this holy shit
Oh shit really? does forcing shut-down by holding the power button count as sudden power Loss? What about power loss in bios? I sometimes off the pc at the switch before post.
And is putting the os on it a bad idea? If not the os, then what would I put on it!? If I have nothing I can ideally put on it then at that point its totally a meme
