>Chrome and Firefox only capable of 720p
meanwhile IE and Edge go up to 4k
Google Chrome up to 720p
Internet Explorer up to 1080p
Microsoft Edge up to 1080p
Mozilla Firefox up to 720p
Opera up to 720p
Safari up to 1080p on Mac OS X 10.10.3 or later
I wonder how much they got paid by Microsoft for that bullshit.
It's obvious that they were getting paid before because they were using Silverlight, but apparently Microsoft realized that that was too obvious.
Who cares? Not like your ISP that sells you 100mbps for $200/month is even going to deliver the bandwidth to stream 1080p without buffering like crazy. Only people in third world countries without the unimaginable corporate greed in the ISP industry you find in the first world can stream at that bitrate and for pennies a month
>Even windows app is better at this point
The Windows app has always been the best option for Netflix. It's the only way to get Dolby Digital+ surround sound - you can't get that from any of the browsers
sucks for you? thread is about video stream quality not about your IPS
yeah that's what I've been using too. if even google can't press them to uses their new api for 1080p I doubt we'll get better quality anytime soon
It's missing WegGL, and some fairly basic CSS5/HTML5 stuff, but the rendering engine in the latest version of IE is awesome. Really fast. It's SVG perfomance alone is a good clue.
If Microsoft could stop being dicks over the remaining standards, they'd have the best browser, easily.
