I've spent some time distro hopping the first time I tried Linux. Fedora was the one where I had least hardware problems and for whatever reason (default wallpaper and icon theme, maybe) I liked the GUI a bit more than in other distros. So I decided to stick with it.

I joined in 2010 and I have 3 friends. I only use it for a secret group between my co-workers because they're too pleb to use other means of communication. Whenever a friend or family member asks if I have a Facebook, I always tell them no.

Debian GNU/Linux

My free software ideal, perfect balance between user-friendliness and performance, and extremely stable. I don't think I'll ever have to distro hop again.

I don't get this stable thing. I use Arch, which means every damned package I run is about as up to date as they can get, and I don't have any stability issues. Updates don't nuke my configuration, nor do they kill XWindows or anything of the sort.

arch on my laptop because /g/ told me to install it :^) seriously though, i'm playing around with it as a secondary OS, using it as much as possible. working pretty good so far.

I have arch installed on my desktop as a dual boot with W7, and Slackware on my laptop. I use Arch experimentally, and if whatever I'm doing is successful I'll make similar changes to slack.

Slackware itself I use because its reliable and I use my laptop at work frequently.

Debian because a good package manager and repo is the only thing of value when looking at distros. Everything else can always be added on through it in almost every case.

in what way? it's not anymore difficult to run once you get it installed than any other distro. and the installation itself is pretty straight forward if you follow tutorials while referring to the wiki.

Antergos because I fiddled with Arch in VMs and old computers and spent hours making it look and work the way I want before I put it on my main machine. Then I put a liveusb of Antergos in and realized there was no point to doing Arch manually anymore.

you can safely set up automatic/unnatended upgrades on a stable system without giving a shit about mailing lists
