If it had NFC id cop.
But it doesn't. So I (me) am getting a nexus 5x :(
>>
>>52370159
>NFC

Why do you need it?
>>
>>52370159
I have a OnePlus One and am very happy with my purchase. Can't speak for Two or X
>>
A meme phone for a meme anon. It's perfect for you.

>A meme phone for a meme anon. It's perfect for you.

Elaborate or you're nothing but a pleb.
>>
>>52370179
Because I think I will in the future. I have a feeling that Apple pay is going to catch on tsun, so I think that andriod pay/google wallet will take off too.
But I'm also autistic so there's that
>>
I have the X, pretty happy with it considering my last phone was a galaxy s2. ez rooting, 5+ hour screen-on time, and 3gb ram
>>
>>52370268

I like the X so much. I normally go for stock with Motorola but they didn't change much with the UI and you can also install CM without voiding the warranty (I've heard).

I'm a poorfag however and scared they'll screw me if something happens with the phone.
>>
>>52370308
>I'm a poorfag however and scared they'll screw me if something happens with the phone.

For clarification I'm talking about the warranty.
>>
>>52370235
Go read the reddit forums. Everyone bitche's about it. You're better off spending $400 on a Xperia or Note 4
>>
>>52370308
I don't see much reason to flash CM as oxygen is basically AOSP with gapps + some customisation options. Gravitybox works well on here, so my ricing autism is sated.
>>
>>52370357

Not that many people are complaining about it to be honest. But there are complains about all three like most phones..
>>
>>52370159
>>52370252

Srsly, 2GB RAM won't tae you very far into the future.
>>
>>52370357
Had it for 4 months, no problems so far. What do people bitch about?
>>
>>52370510

I also read through the forums and the thing that scares me the most is not that the phone might have problems but that the customer support is very, very bad.
>>
I loved my Oneplus One but I had to sell it because it was to big. It would dig into my hip when walking along in certain jeans.

I am considering the OnePlus X as the size is perfect for me and the screen looks pretty nice. Camera is a bit lacking though and battery life: no idea.
>>
>>52370531

I mean, you have to send them pictures and then install some of their software and then set up a temviewer for their tech to check. Then maybe they'll give you a RMA to send it back to fucking China. I'm also not sure if you have to pay for the shipping or not but if you do it's not cheap (30+ EUR).
>>
>>52370159
just get the OnePlus One mate
Not too big a change desu and it has NFC
>>
>>52370531
hm, that's not really relevant for me, since I have never dealt with customer support in my life.
>>
>>52370602

Lol you're something dude you know that? How is it not relevant if you end up having problems? You have to account for that.
>>
>>52370076
Holy shit that is ugly. Google shit just doesn't work with a black background. That why I dislike material design. Looks so stupid some times.
>>
How are Oneplus doing to update OxygenOS? The software is nice and light but I fear Android 6 will take FOREVERRR
>>
>>52370357
Nobody goes on the internet to say "Wow, my phone works perfectly as i thought!"
>>
>>52370651

You can install CM and have updates if they don't deliver.
>>
>>52370671
Unless they own an iPhone.
>>
How about this color?
>>
>>52370719
lol true.
>>
>>52370357
>$400 on a Xperia or Note 4

OnePlus X costs 270EUR
>>

Why didn't they just make it white + grey or something. Really, gold is just meh, it would be fine for asian girls.

I had one, didn't like it, went back to Nexus 5.

What are you guys worried about, apart from support?

Support*2
>>
Went from an s3 to a opx which I'm using right now
I'm very satisfied
>>

Why didn't you like it?

Got my oneplus x for about two weeks now and I can't be happier. No nfc and no quickcharge is kinda sad but damn it is price / performance. If you don't really care about the camera too much its a great buy. Im still fiddling with me way to much.

Battery was my concern when buying but this puppy can gey you a solid 4h sot every time, sometimes you can get 5 out of it . coming from a nexus 5 this is a giant leap , no lag whatsoever (although I didn't test 3d games) and day 3gb of ram lets the os breathe peacefully
>>
>>52371075
>If you don't really care about the camera too much its a great buy.

is it bad?
>>
Why don't they just bring back the One in stock
>>
I own a Oneplus Two and it's kinda meh.

Oxygen OS is sometimes a bit buggy still but I keep it on there for the fingerprint scan function.

Main problem I have with it is that the 810 cpu is kind of overkill and a battery drainer.

Hearthstone drains the battery faster than it did on my 2013 midrange huawei, and even though it looks better it's still bothersome for me.

Also the screen colors are just flat out ugly. They lack vibrancy and it makes the experience just a bit worse. You'll stop noticing it but whenever someone pulls out any other phone you'll instantly be reminded of the shit display that your oneplus Two has.
>>
>>52371091
Eh. Not horrible , not perfect. Fourchins allows <4mb so I have to screenshot a pic(I'm that lazy) , that would not tell you alot
Anyway
>>
>>52370159
We found a Reddit meme
>>
Oh also I forgot to mention that AMOLED looks incredible on oneplus x. And generally the screen is really good by itself. Doesn't have a cheap plastic feel , don't feel like it is under a filer or far from the glass. Perfect
>>
>>52371158

That's a pic.? Yeah it's pretty bad-ish
>>
>>52371176
Not him but I was kinda sad about NFC. I'm in Russia and we have a payment system that uses NFC to imitate a visa card and you can pay for your stuff without the Android pay meme. Also theese come in handy
>>
>>52371238
You can fiddle with white balance /hdr and stuff. This was just point and shoot but yeah its 50/50
>>
>>52371243
>Russia

Why are you in Russia?
>>
>>52371302
I...I don't know anon...
I was born here and kinda stayed around
>>
>>52371238
I found these pictures which don't really look that bad. For me that i don't even use the camera it seems good enough.
>http://www.gsmarena.com/one_plus_x-review-1337p7.php
>>
>>52371043
It felt very slippery without a case
No wireless charging
No menu button when you use capacitive buttons in some apps
Screen isn't as responsive as I like
AMOLED colors look weird coming from an LCD
A few strange errors in apps

That's not a long list, and if nothing on that list is important to you, go for it.
>>
>>52370268
Does YouTube stutter for the first few secs of a video, because mine does
>>
>>52371405
Oh right I forgot to mention that too

The phone is like a soap bar without a case. They include one in a box thought.

I hate cases and it took a while to get used to it
>>
>>52371434
>>52371434
Holy fucking shit I was just about to post that. It is so annoying

I'm pretty sure it will get fixed soon but it pisses me off a ton

Not the guy you asked btw
>>
>>52371405
>It felt very slippery without a case
Planning to use one just for protection
>No wireless charging
It doesn't really matter
>No menu button when you use capacitive buttons in some apps
Can you describe please?
>Screen isn't as responsive as I I like
I'll have to look this thing up myself
>AMOLED colors look weird coming from an LCD
I don't know, i've seen the Galaxy A3 and the colors don't look bad there. Sure it isn't an IPS screen but it should be fine
>A few strange errors in apps
I guess they just need to update the OS or something? Anyway if you could also describe this it'd be great
>>
>>52371499
No errors for me

Only outdated as crap apps use a menu button on a nav bar and the screen is perfectly responsive for me
>>
>>52371572
Sorry for the stupid question but that's the menu button on the nav bar?
>>
>>52371499
>Can you describe please?
Apps that don't have a built-in menu button and rely on a hardware one won't have an accessible menu button unless you use on-screen buttons
I tried using Pie Controls, but it only made it worse. If you have apps like that you'll be more or less forced to use on-screen buttons to be able to access the menu/settings

>I don't know, i've seen the Galaxy A3 and the colors don't look bad there. Sure it isn't an IPS screen but it should be fine

This is completely subjective, don't let it put you off, bed time reading is great with an AMOLED screen

>I guess they just need to update the OS or something? Anyway if you could also describe this it'd be great

Some games would lag for no good reason, the same game would play very smooth on the "old" hardware of the Nexus 5
One game I tried to install gave a weird error. Overall, I still don't think you can match the Nexus software experience. And it's very hard to explain this to people that only look at specs and benchmarks. But once you're used to everything working, you tend to notice the small bugs that other phones are full of.
>>
>>52371735
Okay thanks for replying, i will keep this in mind
>>
>>52371499
If you need the menu button (some apps will need it, firefox and titanium backup being two), there's an xposed module to force the menu button to show up.
>>
>>52371434
My YouTube doesn't stutter for me, then again I almost never use YouTube on my phone.
>>
I have a One Plus One

Its kind of shit if you care about camera, otherwise nice phone, gets extremely hot though.
>>
>>52371735
Dunno man
I came from using a nexus 5 and everything still just werks but even better now.
>>52371648
Anon is talking about this. But I haven't seen that in ages
>>
Any point paying for the ceramic? I don't seem to need an invite right now...
>>
>>52371862
Wasnt is a limited release ? Can you even buy it now ?
Also not worth
With that money you can buy s better phone I guess , defeats the main purpose of this phone
>>
>>52371862
I wouldn't think so
The normal version feels very premium on its own
>>
I'm deciding between the Oneplus X and the Nexus 5.
Which will be smoother and last longer. The Nexus is stock but only 2GB of RAM.
>>
>>52371836
what do you do with it? Mine never gets got unless I leave it in the car under the sun

One Plus X would be cool if they made it with the American LTE bands, its kind of shit as of now, One Plus Two is kind of stupid as well, not much of an upgrade compared to One Plus One
>>
>>52371922
Nexus 5 doesn't have SD slot
>>
>>52371922
Is this even a question ? Deffinatley oneplus. Better battery
better looks
same camera
same speaker
better materials
No NFC (:/)
3gb of ram
Better processor
A better screen ( A WAY better screen)
No marshmallow yet.
Pretty much the same software experience minus the nexus 5 lag
>>
>>52371860
The main reason I noticed the screen responsiveness was because of a pool game I play almost every day. Precise shots would be just a bit harder to do on the OPX, lining up the trajectory of the ball would not be as smooth as on the Nexus 5.

Also when playing One More Dash, the game would have frame drops after every dash, something the Nexus 5 would never do.

My own suspicion is that OnePlus haven't done a very good job of tweaking the drivers for the screen and the GPU. Again, if you don't play games, you might never notice frame drops while you're browsing 4chan or watching a YouTube video.

But it was enough of a quality of life dip for me to drop the phone. It's my main computing device and I don't want to feel like I'm degrading my experience when I get a new phone.
>>
>>52370381
How'd you install Gravitybox on the X?

Sorry I'm a retard when it comes to Android, I'm already rooted.
>>
>>52372035
The Nexus 5 doesn't lag. The OPX, however, does.
>>
>>52372055
Get the packager from their site
>>
>>52371949
Gets extremely hot while playing Hearthstone, and Overnight Skype calls.

It's a pretty big issue, long threads about it on their forums. The camera is also hit or miss with some hardware issues but overall it's not bad.
>>
>>52372064
Opposite for me
And the nexus lagged horribly
I'm talking 5 second freezes
Did a factory restore on 6.0 and it kept happening , had to dich the phone
>>
>>52372134
You must have had a dud. Mines is over two years old and works like a champ.
>>
>>52372085
Huh. Do I maybe need to install Xposed framework?
>>
>>52372055
Install the xposed framework (flash it from twrp), then the xposed installer app. You can then get gravitybox from the downloads section, if you a more in depth guide there's one on xda or one plus forums somewhere
>>
>>52372821
Thanks anon
>>
>>52372104

>gets extremely hot

almost all current high-end devices get extremely hot by your definition

best phone for you money atm is a galaxy s5, least amount of issues and good build quality.
>>
>>52370076
Great phone. I love mine!

>ftw no NFC
Meh, don't use it anyways
>tfw no 5G wifi
Would have REALLY liked to see that
>tfw no band 12 or 17
As a t-mobile customer in northern VA that doesn't travel much except overseas, I get great LTE coverage
>>
>>52370357
> THIS THING SUCKS
> Can I have your proof?
> H-haha no! Go find it yourself! Then you'll see!

Nice
>>
>>52370076
na it has shit performance on US networks
>>
>>52370076

How does the OnePlus X compare with the Moto X Play (I think in the US it's called Motorola Droid Maxx 2) ?
>>
>>52371860
>Anon is talking about this. But I haven't seen that in ages

One apps haven't been ported to 4+ to take advantage of the action bar menu, hence that option menu. Source: android dev.
