Because I think I will in the future. I have a feeling that Apple pay is going to catch on tsun, so I think that andriod pay/google wallet will take off too.
But I'm also autistic so there's that
I like the X so much. I normally go for stock with Motorola but they didn't change much with the UI and you can also install CM without voiding the warranty (I've heard).
I'm a poorfag however and scared they'll screw me if something happens with the phone.
I loved my Oneplus One but I had to sell it because it was to big. It would dig into my hip when walking along in certain jeans.
I am considering the OnePlus X as the size is perfect for me and the screen looks pretty nice. Camera is a bit lacking though and battery life: no idea.
I mean, you have to send them pictures and then install some of their software and then set up a temviewer for their tech to check. Then maybe they'll give you a RMA to send it back to fucking China. I'm also not sure if you have to pay for the shipping or not but if you do it's not cheap (30+ EUR).
Got my oneplus x for about two weeks now and I can't be happier. No nfc and no quickcharge is kinda sad but damn it is price / performance. If you don't really care about the camera too much its a great buy. Im still fiddling with me way to much.
Battery was my concern when buying but this puppy can gey you a solid 4h sot every time, sometimes you can get 5 out of it . coming from a nexus 5 this is a giant leap , no lag whatsoever (although I didn't test 3d games) and day 3gb of ram lets the os breathe peacefully
I own a Oneplus Two and it's kinda meh.
Oxygen OS is sometimes a bit buggy still but I keep it on there for the fingerprint scan function.
Main problem I have with it is that the 810 cpu is kind of overkill and a battery drainer.
Hearthstone drains the battery faster than it did on my 2013 midrange huawei, and even though it looks better it's still bothersome for me.
Also the screen colors are just flat out ugly. They lack vibrancy and it makes the experience just a bit worse. You'll stop noticing it but whenever someone pulls out any other phone you'll instantly be reminded of the shit display that your oneplus Two has.
Eh. Not horrible , not perfect. Fourchins allows <4mb so I have to screenshot a pic(I'm that lazy) , that would not tell you alot
Oh also I forgot to mention that AMOLED looks incredible on oneplus x. And generally the screen is really good by itself. Doesn't have a cheap plastic feel , don't feel like it is under a filer or far from the glass. Perfect
Not him but I was kinda sad about NFC. I'm in Russia and we have a payment system that uses NFC to imitate a visa card and you can pay for your stuff without the Android pay meme. Also theese come in handy
I found these pictures which don't really look that bad. For me that i don't even use the camera it seems good enough.
It felt very slippery without a case
No wireless charging
No menu button when you use capacitive buttons in some apps
Screen isn't as responsive as I like
AMOLED colors look weird coming from an LCD
A few strange errors in apps
That's not a long list, and if nothing on that list is important to you, go for it.
>It felt very slippery without a case
Planning to use one just for protection
>No wireless charging
It doesn't really matter
>No menu button when you use capacitive buttons in some apps
Can you describe please?
>Screen isn't as responsive as I I like
I'll have to look this thing up myself
>AMOLED colors look weird coming from an LCD
I don't know, i've seen the Galaxy A3 and the colors don't look bad there. Sure it isn't an IPS screen but it should be fine
>A few strange errors in apps
I guess they just need to update the OS or something? Anyway if you could also describe this it'd be great
>Can you describe please?
Apps that don't have a built-in menu button and rely on a hardware one won't have an accessible menu button unless you use on-screen buttons
I tried using Pie Controls, but it only made it worse. If you have apps like that you'll be more or less forced to use on-screen buttons to be able to access the menu/settings
>I don't know, i've seen the Galaxy A3 and the colors don't look bad there. Sure it isn't an IPS screen but it should be fine
This is completely subjective, don't let it put you off, bed time reading is great with an AMOLED screen
>I guess they just need to update the OS or something? Anyway if you could also describe this it'd be great
Some games would lag for no good reason, the same game would play very smooth on the "old" hardware of the Nexus 5
One game I tried to install gave a weird error. Overall, I still don't think you can match the Nexus software experience. And it's very hard to explain this to people that only look at specs and benchmarks. But once you're used to everything working, you tend to notice the small bugs that other phones are full of.
I came from using a nexus 5 and everything still just werks but even better now.
Anon is talking about this. But I haven't seen that in ages
what do you do with it? Mine never gets got unless I leave it in the car under the sun
One Plus X would be cool if they made it with the American LTE bands, its kind of shit as of now, One Plus Two is kind of stupid as well, not much of an upgrade compared to One Plus One
Is this even a question ? Deffinatley oneplus. Better battery
No NFC (:/)
3gb of ram
A better screen ( A WAY better screen)
No marshmallow yet.
Pretty much the same software experience minus the nexus 5 lag
The main reason I noticed the screen responsiveness was because of a pool game I play almost every day. Precise shots would be just a bit harder to do on the OPX, lining up the trajectory of the ball would not be as smooth as on the Nexus 5.
Also when playing One More Dash, the game would have frame drops after every dash, something the Nexus 5 would never do.
My own suspicion is that OnePlus haven't done a very good job of tweaking the drivers for the screen and the GPU. Again, if you don't play games, you might never notice frame drops while you're browsing 4chan or watching a YouTube video.
But it was enough of a quality of life dip for me to drop the phone. It's my main computing device and I don't want to feel like I'm degrading my experience when I get a new phone.
Gets extremely hot while playing Hearthstone, and Overnight Skype calls.
It's a pretty big issue, long threads about it on their forums. The camera is also hit or miss with some hardware issues but overall it's not bad.
Huh. Do I maybe need to install Xposed framework?
Install the xposed framework (flash it from twrp), then the xposed installer app. You can then get gravitybox from the downloads section, if you a more in depth guide there's one on xda or one plus forums somewhere
Great phone. I love mine!
>ftw no NFC
Meh, don't use it anyways
>tfw no 5G wifi
Would have REALLY liked to see that
>tfw no band 12 or 17
As a t-mobile customer in northern VA that doesn't travel much except overseas, I get great LTE coverage
>Anon is talking about this. But I haven't seen that in ages
One apps haven't been ported to 4+ to take advantage of the action bar menu, hence that option menu. Source: android dev.
