So why do you think it's bait anon? I am using the best and market leading solutions for every need. How could that possibly be bait? I would understand you thinking it was bait I posted very obscure / shit / horrible to use software, like Firefox, or Arch Linux, etc. When I see somebody say they use those things, I think it must certainly be bait, because I can't believe that somebody would ACTUALLY use those things. Unless they are just trying to score internet points for being obscure and a special snowflake? Quite possibly.

But in my case, I use the best / market leading solutions for every need because that is the most logical tool to use for the job - the best one. And because they are the best, most of them are market leaders (iTunes, Spotify, Chrome, GMail, etc.). That means that more people use them than use anything else. So surely it is very likely that someone would use all of those services? Surely because such large numbers of people use them, there's very little reason to doubt the truth of my post? This is why I am having a difficult time understanding why you think my post is bait, my friend.

Yup because it's the only correct argument.

How can you measure the worth of something subjective? Opinions, namely positive opinions. If something is liked by people, that's the only truly objective way to measure if it's good. If something is the MOST used (in a free market where many alternatives are available), then necessarily it must be the best, or at least extremely good, because otherwise nobody would use it.

>but marketing

Doesn't matter. Marketing helps but nobody is going to stand for a shoddy product. And if a better alternative comes along then people start using it.

All of those products are very popular and very good, and you have no reason to think that they're not good, apart from autism I presume? Probably. That's the only reason people don't like popular things on this board - autism. Maybe you don't like things used by normal people because it reminds you of the normal kids at school that made fun of you and bullied you? Is that it? It probably is t.b.h.

I bet you think that's funny but it shows that you're a buttmad autist with no reason not to use those products. They are the best products at what they do, period. That is why so many people use them, that is why everybody rates them as the best products. Because they are the best. If anything else was better, people would use it, but nothing else is better, so they don't.

Stock programs are generally bad, they lack of features usually. But they usually have a big market share since people dont bother changing them. They´ll get the first option they find or the ones they know, do you think the average internet user has ever heard of Opera or Vivaldi for example? But of Google and Microsoft for sure

No because he's shit

He's also not extremely popular - his YouTube videos are some of the most down-voted of all time, e.g. this:

Just because teenage girls buy his singles, driving him up the charts (the only demographic to get unnaturally hyped about pop music en masse, thus skewing the charts), doesn't mean that he is very popular, because many people hate him.

The average Joe doesn't have a clue what makes a program "better" than another. They just follow the current, i.e. the network effect.
Especially for social software/websites, if they're already popular and something objectively better comes along, you can't really switch because you're locked into the popular one PURELY because it's popular and no other reason.

I have servers and I hardly get traffic from yandex bots, most of it is from Bing, majestic12 and Google. I dont think thats malicious at all, its just a crawler to index websites

This literally means nothing, it doesnt say why its spyware or a virus, and if you change the url, the part before the .aspx you´ll see that it lists nearly any program as virus and spyware, some proofs:
https://www.sophos.com/en-us/threat-center/threat-analyses/viruses-and-spyware/Google%20Chrome.aspx
https://www.sophos.com/en-us/threat-center/threat-analyses/viruses-and-spyware/Opera.aspx

It clearly says the user decided to install it, its a toolbar as the old Google´s one.

you know there are programs like musicbrainz picard for that right?
you don't need private trackers to download libre music. you could literally just use wget to download every single song on http://freemusicarchive.org/ in like one command.

I'm not even baiting. Edge is good although adblock would be nice, with all browsers being shit might as well use whatever. Bing is not google could be better I will give you that. Outlook and Word is top tier. Windows 10 is best windows ever made. Groove takes care of metadata of music I download form youtube, I only listen to mp3 and am no audiophile anyway so it gets the job done. Having antivirus this day and age is unnecessary, windows defenders does enough without hogging system. Skype is shit but my friends use it so I must use is. Onedrive is nicely integrated into my OS anyway so its smooth to use.

I embraced the botnet, I wish you all luck on your struggle against it but me myself is not a warrior.

>>52369429
Oh forgot to mention, Edge+onedrive+onenote interaction is one of a kind thing thats I find really handy.

You can't get any more lightweight and speedy
>>
>>52370095
not even with w3m?
i really like the concept of xombrero. i might have a look at it once it's more mature.
>>
>>52370129
hmmm well xombrero is more dependent on basic libraries and runtimes, so it appears lighter but has quite a few dependencies (including gtk3). it has integrated script blocking and certificate management. whitelisting certain plugins (including ublock origin and flashplugin) can help you get a working browser, although few plugins are available some userscripts (i have one to dl pics, reverse image search, and spoof useragent). i really don't trouble myself with web browsing that much, i shitpost occassionally and watch the tube. the majority of my tasks are browser indepedent; i download my anime, porn, and manpages.

And ?
If you live in the west, what do you care about Russia having your data.

It's better than the NSA, since the chances FSB will arrest you are rather slim.

If you live in Russia, it's better to use an American botnet for the same reason.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
