Blocking a telemarketing number on vanilla Android in 2016:
> add the number to your contact list
> go the the contact list
> long press to view contact
> press pencil icon to edit contact
> press 3 button icon to open another menu
> tick all calls to voicemail
> "blocks" number, but they'll still fill up your inbox
Pretty pathetic. But hey, at least you get custom icons, right?
Android complaints general.
Removing a U2 song on a vanilla iPhone in 2016
>hahahaha fuck you
>go to call history
>hit "i" for more info
>select block this caller
Though to be fair, you will still get voice mails if they leave them. But with visual voicemail, you can just delete it without listening to it.
Call blocking will always be limp-wristed garbage in official builds because they want to reduce complexity and make it difficult to fuck up.
Guarantee that retards will accidently blacklist everyone and miss an important call.
Even shit like whitelisting your contacts automatically can lead to dropped calls from unknown numbers.
Personally I use Root Call Blocker and Cyanogenmod's built-in call blocker.

My Sony Xperia E1 is literally cancer
I give no fucks about phones and bought cheap, but this thing is just intolerably shit (can only do one thing at a time, literally one thing; as in one app open at a time because 492mb ram)
It's usable though, but for fuck sake it closes shit and crashes all the time.
The battery is fucking SHIT like literal cancer tier.
The GOOD thing is it's a fucking tank, it just won't fucking break, so I'm keeping it.
I hope you at least nuked play services off it. I have a similar shit Sony phone (Xperia Tipo) and the only way I could get it to do anything was kill play services and make sure every other stock app was disabled and/or greenified.
motorola droid turbo on 5.1
>lockscreen widgets are kill
>cant change lockscreen and homescreen backgrounds independently
>cant change system fonts
>un fucking rootable
>did same as op
>my carrier allows me to disable vm.
>if I get a call while my phone is off or out of coverage the caller gets a " the number you called is disconnected " since the call cannot be transfered to the vm.
>same for people on the "transfer to VM" list
> work flawlessly
> pretty sure telemarketers already erased my number from their database.
Little story now :
> phone completely discharges
> leave it charging overnight
> next day at work my boss asked me if I changed my number.
> nop. Explain him what happened.
> show him how I did it.
> actually gets a small raise since boss was getting telemarketer calls every other day
