Salt to taste.
Bring to boil without the lid than stir.
Put on lid and set your stove to the lowest setting possible.
Turn it off after about 18 minutes. (Don't take the lid off)
Wait about 10 minutes.

As someone who also uses Arc-Darker and Firecuck, I have two tips for you: get the arc-darker firefox theme to make the buttons look like they do on nautilus / a bit sleeker and disable hello and pocket in the about:config, to get rid of those annyoing icons.

Just get a tiling wm, i3 is the easiest to set up and xmonad is the best. After that start searching for alternatives of your often used programs than can be used with both hands on the keyboard, for example vimperator/pentadactyl for web, ranger for managing files, cmus for music.
That's it, you are officially riced after this.
