do i really need the top exhaust fan?
>>52347780
Yes. If not everything will blow up and catch fire.
You don't want more exhaust fans than intake fans. You'll get a increased pressure in your case, sucking more dust into your computer.
I recommend having 3 intake, 2 exhaust.
2 Front Intake
1 Bottom Intake
1 Rear Exhaust
1 Top Exhaust
>>52347780
No you don't you also don't need your arms or legs but they are still nice to have.
>>52347780
No, it's a conspiracy to sell you an extra fan you don't need.
>>52347817
there is no slot for a bottom fan in my case
i'm going to remove the top exhaust because it's useless

>couch in the middle of the room
>wall between living room and kitchen
>kitchen connected to living room without the door
yuropoor house everyone.

If there's no bottom fan slot, I'd go without a top fan as well.
I'm using a Fractal R5 case and my temps are quite high, what fan setup should I use?
>>52347908
watercooling with superchilled mtn dew
I'm not even joking look it up
>>52347908
No fans, blow into the case with your mouth
>>52347918
Wtf, why with an energy drink?
>>52347908
Just use the standard setup it came with + another fan on the bottom if your GPU temps are high or front if your CPU temps are high. You want positive pressure so you don't get any air in the case except from the filtered areas. By having more exhausts you build negative pressure so air comes in from the outside from holes that are not filtered.

can I have one also in the front and bottom of the case for 3 intakes and 1 exaust?
>>52347977
Might work but it would probably work better with 2 exhausts. A 3:1 ratio is a bit high. Go for a ratio of around 1.5-2 intake to 1 exhaust.
>>52348011
Also to go for that ratio you'll need to start removing moduvents and it will kinda defeat the purpose of the case. Just go for 2 (2 front or 1 front 1 bottom) imo.
>>52348011
>>52348025
Also if this isn't enough it's probably not the case's fault but the components. This should be more than enough airflow for 90% of people.
>>52348025
>>52348042
okay I'll go for the 2 fron intakes
>>52347870
>4 windows
>no doors
Fucking nanny states
>>52347780
MOTHERFUCKER. Heat rises.
case is fractal define s. i want to add one fan to give my gpu some more air. it's r9 390 nitro, and it's not overheating atm, but i guess lowering temps a bit wont hurt.
orange are existing fans, blue possible mounting options.
bottom one seems to be better as it'll be pushing air directly on gpu, but fan will be covered a bit with psu cables. front one wont be covered by anything, but i'm not sure if it'll help that much with gpu.
any opinions where should i mount that one fan?

shitty gammer case only 30 dollars. No you do not need top fan mounts.
The main thing it will do is just reduce more noise.
