We've been running SSD's in our servers for 4 years now, haven't had a single file lost, nor a single failure.
We've got SSD's in every server and even have our CAD files stored on SSD's.

That said, the SSD's are in RAID to prevent downtime in case of a single SSD failing, and we have a good back-up system. (On site, off site and online backup, versioned).

If you're not retarded you can use SSD's in servers and it'll most likely be one of the cheapest and most useful upgrades possible.
