Maybe next year, 750 eurobucks is a little pricey for me
Why is my Xenon E3-1231 v3 not good enough for the Rift? Isn't it better or at least roughly the same as the i5-4590?
My computer is.
But for $850 cad palmer can go eat a dick.
I hopr htc undercuts the fuck out of these facebook jews, maybe with a loss leader, or hell save a $100, let me use my own damn xbox controller and pirate the two games.
Probably code inside this looks like this:
goodcpus = i5 -> i7 #message to manager: who the fuck is using xenon for gamng?
if cpu == goodcpus
print "yo pc is gud"
print "ur cpu suck balls"
very ready. But my wallet is not.
I can afford it, but I don't want to.
How the fuck can USB ports not be compatible? What is this shit
lmao. I guess it can't tell I have 3 7970s not 1.
At any rate my PC runs just fine with my DK2 with plenty of room to spare.
how can your usb ports not be ready i have like 6 usb 2.0 and 4 usb 3.0
already have a gtx 980 in the mail.
idk why an i5 > i7 looking at a comparision here
should i worry senpai? pre-ordered the rift anyway cuz im kinda feeling i should have enough.
haha this proves than I5 is the best
>your quad core mobile i7, equivalent to modern desktop i7s, is not as good as an i5-4590 :^)
This program is fucking retarded
>Have SLI board
>Was going to SLI them later
>3.5GB is found, VRAM in SLI isn't additive
>I pay attention to branding and not actual benchmarks
Synthetic or not, it's the same architecture, and mobile quad core i7s place consistently around their desktop counterparts.
synthetic benchmarks comparing the same architectures together consistently place mobile quad core i7s in the same ballpark as desktop quad core i7s, and consistently far above desktop i5s.
where the fuck is your proof?
It's ok to be delusional. You can stop now, close the thread and enjoy your shitty laptop. Just pretend you bought something that's actually good and that this thread never happened. It's ok.
>I have no proof so I'm just going to damage control and shitpost the thread out of control
I bet you're one of those dumbasses that think ULV mobile CPUs and quad core mobile CPUs are even remotely the same thing.
>shitpost the thread out of control
OK lad, you need to caaaaalllmm down. Try listenening to some relaxing music on Youtube, I'm pretty sure your laptop can handle that without overheating too much.
I have an i7-4930k @ 4.5GHz, 16GB of RAM, two GTX 780s in SLI, four USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0 slots.
My PC isn't good enough? Great fucking tool Oculus, geeze.
Sorry for shitposting but I need to ask.
Can my older asus p8h67m pro motherboard equip a GTX 980? As far as I know, since it's PCIe 2 and the GTX 980 runs best on PCIe 3 it's innocent as it's just about the effectiveness.
Are there more requirements to placing a newer video card in an older motherboard?
PCIe is backwards and forwards compatible, any PCIe card can fit work in any board, only the bandwidth is throttled to the slowest link, but for PCIe 2 vs 3 it doesn't matter because at the moment cards don't use a enough bandwidth to where PCIe 2 will handicap performance.
Beyond that the only thing you need is a power supply with enough watts and 2 6-pin connectors.
> 2 6-pin connectors.
This I didn't know about, thanks again.
Also yea I suppose I understood how it works but I wasn't sure if any other things were bound to installing a new card besides PCIe.
I know for a fact that they're wrong, I've used an oculus rift on this machine many times. I don't know what they're basing this on. Posting so people know this test is a bulshit tool to get you to click the "buy computer" button.
