We've actually done a ton of damage to websites and companies but most of it is pitifully insignificant so news won't cover that.

Some of us could bring corporations to their knees if we all banded together but the days of being a 1337 h4x0r are over. We have lives now (at least we pretend we do) and don't want 5-10 years in the slammer + big fines.

Somewhere around 2011 4chan became "too cool" to do any funny shit. The face of anonymous has long since been hijacked by social justice warriors who want to use it for benign protests. Not for the lulz but for the social media points. If you combine this with the departure of all the funny, original, and smart people from 4chan to other parts of the internet you can see why this website is the turd it is today. Right now the popular voice on 4chan is too cool to actually give a shit about anything so it's going to stew in it's own fart cloud until the current owner sells the domain to godaddy or some shit.
