My new laptop is finally shipping:
Anyone else on /g/ get one of these?
seconding this /g/uy, where are the fucking specs?
I like how it looks but u don't understand why they put a thinkpad keyboard in it, that shit kind of ruins the - a e s t h e t i c - family
FIVE THOUSAND DOLLAROOS for a block of wood and a cell phone in a laptop with a Lenovo Bluetooth keyboard slapped in.
That's absolutely gorgeous, but so thick. And unless they are planning to sell compatible upgrade parts for ten+ years, not worth it.
Imagine, three years from now, 128 core 64 bit ARM motherboards, with 1TB RAM, 12TB of SSD onboard become standard in Chromebooks. They get 10 hours of runtime off of a single 18650 battery. and your heirloom laptop can't be upgraded past what it is in 2016..
Talking about laptops, Xiaomi seems to be making a laptop that's running Linux. Some store is selling it for $710 USD
Very, very similar design to Apple's laptops. It seems to even have it's own connector KEK
>expecting to carry that hunk of shit anywhere
>The “laptop” model costs $1,995 and adds a battery controller board, a 3000 mAh battery pack and a 240GB solid state drive.
>You'd still have to supply your own mouse and keyboard.
>Those who want to go all-in can spend $5000 for the “Heirloom” model, which integrates a Lenovo Bluetooth trackpoint keyboard and comes in a wooden enclosure
If you faggots have to ask the price, then you obviously can't afford it.
I'm sure it shitposts just as well as any rig. If you can afford nice things, why not get something comfy?
