Does anyone know a good way to install OpenGL 4.1 on Ubuntu 15.04? I have tried various PPA`s and they do not work. Arma 3 will not run at all. I thought this POS fucking OS was supposed to be easy, but no. Does Ubuntu 15.10 fix this?
Thanks.

More like POS fucking application. Arma is a pile of shit.

Windows 10 works great. Try it!
Either you need to install the proprietary driver, or your card doesn't support OpenGL4.1 anyway.

Anon, support for that ended like a month ago. Fucking upgrade.
what gpu? which driver?% glxinfo | grep Core
OpenGL core profile version string: 4.1 (Core Profile) Mesa 11.1.0

Nouveau supports it?
Has nouveau fixed power saving btw?
>>52246842
not sure about nouveau, but radeonsi does, which is what i use
it probably does though
last i checked nouveau power management is still limited
>>52246878
I've checked on freedesktop. Nouveau does support tesselation programs (and thus 4.1) now for Fermii and above. But PM works on Keppler only, Fermii still has issues. And newer Maxwells have no acceleration.

Installing through PlayonLinux or directly on Wine?
>>52246913
Natively on Steam. 1.42 Linux build.
Looks like a driver problem. Have you installed correct drivers?

I tried Nvidia 304 and it did not work, what if I installed Ubuntu 15.10?
How about you call linux support or your driver provider for support? Do you think /g/ is linux support desk or something?
>>52247354
I have a Nvidia Geforce 740.
>>52246582
Fuck off Jew shill.
>>52247354
Jesus fuck mate, that's old. Grab some new drivers, there's even a PPA for that now in case nvidia's text-based installer isn't to your liking.
