Big Pascal Is Here !
>Jenny Smith – seriously if it bsods or crashes and freezes then the car will stop in the middle of where ever it is and if t hat is a highway, yikes, dead ppl is all i can think

Does anyone else find it strange that nvidia produces proprietary only drivers for their devices are using ubuntu?
>implying Ford doesn't already make the best shit ever
I'll admit they are better than German imho, especially when the cost is a consideration. Though Ford needs to do something about Lincoln, they should just have luxury options for their cars under the Ford name, and have a handful of unique luxury models that are Lincolns.
Instead of making Lincolns basically a trim option of existing ford models. Sort of how GM manages Cadillac.
>That's like leaving your A/C or all of your lights on all of the time. Not a problem for an alternator by any means but enough to cause a noticeable mpg decrease. Surely they could have achieved this shit with a lower tdp processor.
This is all just retarded marketing, you don't need any of this for self driving cars and the consumer ones will probably run on low power soc with special image processing. Why the fuck would you need a neural network in every car? it defeats the purpose of using neural networks.
You'd be able to train cars with much less processing on board because 99% of cars will do the same thing and will use the same data. Its not like you need your car to process shit super fast to update the NN really fast once the whole system is deploy-able to consumers.
It's insane how fast self driving technology has progressed in just the past 2 years. I honestly think by 2018 we're gonna see an actual taxi service in select locations in various cities.
By 2020 it'll be like Uber.
It has to be liquid cooled to achieve this mastery of the data. A single fury nano is just as powerful, draws less power, and doesn't need to be liquid cooled just to keep from going nuclear.
I truly apologize that you are too much of a mental invalid to comprehend this the first time.
AMD will make a comeback this year.
I'm shilling because I have 150 shares of AMD and I want to make a few fucking dollars.
You /G/ bastards better buy AMD this year!
Or else I'll... Lose $500
Yeah man, let's put 980tis in our fucking cars.
I bet you stupid shit never heard of real time system. Lots of cars already have persistent computer systems. The outlander senses the car in front of it ans brakes or ACC itself.
> power grids
> cars (srsly where have u been)
You must be joking anon. AMD has such a small marketshare that intel and nvidia can do whatever they want.
Even people here would gladly fork out $200 to "upgrade" their motherboards so they could meme post about their epic blue connector innovation.
>AMD has such a small marketshare
>I'll admit they are better than German imho
>Aren't car accidents the 2nd biggest cause of death after heart disease?
Nah. More people die of cancer and commit suicide then die in vehicular collisions. Heart disease wins by miles btw. 600k~ per year in the US alone.
Preventative safety measures like automatic emergency braking, blind spot detection, and rear view cameras go a very long way towards preventing accidents. Self driving cars are an entirely ridiculous concept.
They're not that high. But they are high- they're just below lung cancer.
>lower than suicide
Nope. See above.
However heart disease does win by a landslide.
Car accidents are on par with Malaria, which kills millions. 19 deaths per 100,000 is pretty high dude.
For the US of 350 million that's 65,000 deaths a year. However these look like they're global statistics.
The actual statistics is that 43000 people die in the US every year due to traffic accidents.
Not to mention injuries.
Self driving cars are going to save 20 9/11s worth of people every year.
Traffic accidents are two 9/11s every month.
>what we believe car companies must own their deep learning netsworks
Basically who the fuck cares if other cars are more dangerous due to proprietary bullshit, it's just people getting hurt, no biggie, but we make more money now so it's all good!
>altogether 4 processor 6 tflops performance x6 of titan x
Wait wait, one titan x is 7 tflops or so.
Other thing, it is supposed to be top of the line pascal in there, because what's the point putting cut chip in a car that would be stupid.
Something is not right with pascal, i have a feeling from general mr. CEO tired tone.
>trusting some company or God help us the government looking after the tech
>some filthy chink hacks the cars and changes some parameters
>entire countries in absolute fucking chaos
>inb4 its tamper proof
Yes, I now see your point. Your innumerable examples from well known reputable sources and we'll constructed argument have swayed my opinion.
>Hurrrdurr you stoopid
>Doesn't say why, just baiting for the purpose of being a faggot
