Why would you say that? Is there less of a benefit from things like games using an SSD vs the OS as a whole?
Whatever one isn't used for the OS will likely be used for games and I'm guessing the newer one will also be bigger.
Which should I get?
>Vostro 5470 (i5 4th, 4GB, 500GB, 830M, 1.53Kg) base
>HP Pavilion 14 (i5 4th, 4GB, 500GB, 830M, 1.98Kg) -10% base
>HP Pavillion 14 (i7 4th 2C, 4GB, 1TB, 840M, 1,98Kg ) +18% base
My main concern is that I know HP had a lot of overheat problems in "old notebooks", and I don't if they fixed. For instance, Vostro has 2x blowers on back and HP only have one on left side. Thanks.
I have an idea for an app that seems like it would take a lot of work to create and maintain, but it's got a fairly straight forward revenue model. I personally don't have any of the technical skills required to start the thing.
What do? Do I go beg a bank for investment capital and hire a bunch of college kids to create it for me?
Got a ThinkPad off eBay a while back and it came with Windows 7. I wiped the drive and installed Ubuntu on it. Now I need Windows 7 again, but when I type the serial in Microsoft's site to download the ISO it tells me it's an OEM serial and I'm shit out of luck. If I get a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium elsewhere and use my real serial during activation would it work?
I built my first rig, bought an i5 4690 (non K) and a Hyper 212 EVO, right now I have one fan on it blowing air towards the back (exhaust) of the case. My temperatures reach 60C on max load which is well under the limit for the CPU but cooler is better and I recently bought a fan controller and already have more than enough spare 120 mm fans hanging around so I want to make use of my new toys.
What I'm wondering is seeing as how I have to manually control the fan myself (with the controller), what speed should I set the "pull" fan so that it doesn't encumber the fan already pushing? I can't imagine it would be good to have a second fan on there that doesn't spin fast enough and ends up stopping air from being pushed out.
I figured it out a long time ago but forgot. there's a youtube video too.
maybe it's done a different way now
im looking for a new tv guys
any opinions on the SAMSUNG UE48JU6050U ?
would cost me around 580€ at the moment
Maybe 1100 RPM. Depends on the max speed, type of fan, and case layout. You should learn for yourself
Are you trying to add one? Couldn't you just right click on the top panel (or create a panel first) and add it?
>This connection is untrusted
Is there a way to just permanently disable this warning in Firefox?
I've just stopped using the browser entirely because every other site gets that warning and the only answer from google is "Just fix your clock settings bro!"
I trying to remove them. you used to be able to
there must be more then 1 way
I need a new tablet for viewing pdfs/documents/mongolian drawings and youtube/twitch. Don't care for emulation/mobile gaming.
What's the cheapest one that I could use for that? Big plus for good screen and long-lasting battery.
Why are people so bothered by applications with "botnet" features? (Using the current /g/ definition of the term, not the actual one.)
I can understand if your privacy was being violated or if it hindered your experience in some way, but for example I saw people losing their shit about some Nintendo patent to use some distributed cloud computing scheme to make games run faster on a gaming console, as if this was some heinous crime. Where's the sense in that? Something I'm missing here, or is it just people trying too hard to apply memes every chance they get? You guys aren't seriously worried about the NSA spying how many stars you're getting in the new Mario game or something are you?
Does anyone here use MPC-HC and livestreamer?
MPC-HC keeps pausing when I lock my computer and it fucks up livestreamer.
Is there any way to make it so that it doesn't pause when I lock my computer so the livestream keeps going.
those are the arrows to hide the panel itself
it's easy to hide icons. there are 3 hidden icons in this pic
Why do some CDs/DVDs still freeze the computer in 2016?
I have an SSD, a haswell i7, 16gb of RAM and a R9 390
I installed Windows literally 3 days ago
but half of the CDs/DVDs I put into the computer make it freeze.
not like, just loading the CDs is slow or something, no, it freezes the actual computer in a way such that I almost can't click anything anymore
btw this mostly seems to be the case for copyright protected CDs
What the fuck do I do with this old netbook I have?
>Screen is somewhat broken (green lines and sometimes whole screen is green, corner is shattered)
>Missing keys from the keyboard
Here are the specs
I tried converting it to a HTPC, but Kodi runs like ass on it and it lags when even playing music.
I'm at a loss.
Sounds like it's forcing the whole system to wait on the I/O with your CD drive. Maybe some developer did this intentionally as some kind of security measure or something, I don't know. Try using a different app to play the CD if you can, might make a difference.
Why don't some of the wavform points line up in Audacity? Like, I only have the ability to move the audio the length of one point to another so it's literally impossible to line these up properly and it's weird.
>Try using a different app to play the CD if you can, might make a difference.
well it's often as soon as I insert the CD, I can't even choose anything
also sometimes it refuses to eject and I have to forcibly reboot
so glad that this shit is about to die
I never have these problems with usb flash drives
Huh, it might actually be a problem with the drive's firmware or something then, or maybe some DRM program that got installed in the background. I think I remember hearing about some particularly nasty old school DRM schemes doing this kind of thing in the past.
Can someone recommend me a mATX mobo that's under 100€ and is lga1150 z97? Bonus points for black and/or orange colors since i plan on having a themed build and also maybe sli/xfire if it's even possible below atx form factor.

Or this guy
hi, /g/, the other day, the mouse that came with the living room computer died after a good 7 years of service. So I bought an ots mouse, thinking that there would be no problems left after that. However, now it won't work either. I've tried the mouse on other computers with no issue, and am now just cycling through resets by manually updating drivers through the device manager. Annoyingly enough, my logitech g700s works perfectly fine on the living room pc, but it's the only mouse I have for myself.
I'm using windows 10 on a very old lenovo tower.
>inb4, hah, windows 10, that's your issue
How do I rip copyright protected CDs/DVDs on linux?
I tried dd'ing my civ4 CD into an ISO, but the image is only half the size of the DVD and says invalid when trying to read
Then I doubt it's hardware or driver related. Maybe settings. Have you attempted to adjust mouse speed sensitivity under mouse properties?
Also side question you tried more than one USB port
bottom left, one piglet gets it's head stuck under the heavy metal trap

Bikeshedding is the proper word for it. /g/ mainly talks about brackets, syntax, and identation styles because it's non complex and everyone can contribute a opinion and be semi valid.
Any real issues will cause too much risk of being pointed out as incorrect or stupid if they're wrong / mistaken.
LG g4 6.0 sprint. Why does it show up as midi? Is there anything I can do with it?
yes, I have tried other usb ports
I'll try that and see if anything changes, thank you
I'll look there too, thank you
I'll post here again if anything happens, thank you friends!!
I have the gaming 3 so I can't use this one, but gaming 5, 7 or 9 may be able too
the 3 has a maxium transfer rat of 10 gigs a sec
Samsung's 950 Pro Is A Massively Fast, Super-Tiny M.2 SSD
I just bought corsair xms3 8gb RAM module to replace my 4gb corsair xms3, both run at 1.333mhz. I never even contemplated what would happen if I shoved my old 4gb into the emtpy second ram slot next to the new 8gb until today. Will I go to an effective 12gb ram or am I just gonna mess up the system and make myself worse off?
>yes, I am aware that I am retarded for not knowing
>no, I could not find the answer on google
>ofcourse my rig is shit I'm ultrapoor and only play games on ugly settings
Why the fuck doesn't my sound from sources directly in front of me play in Fallout - New Vegas? It actually increases in amplitude as I turn to the side of the source, it's almost the inverse of what you'd expect. I recognize this isn't the best explanation. HALP
Is there a way to make it so that saved photos (from chrome browser) goes directly to a folder on the SD card instead of the phone on an android?
if so how?
Use the git/svn/ version?
You're using a lts os.Dont expect the newest shit.
Check if there is an unoffical repo with newer shit,or write your own package and use that to compile it and stay within the bounds of your package manager
Looking to make my Mom a digital photo frame thing for her birthday.
So far I'm thinking of going with an Amazon Fire the cheapest one.
But I need to know, is there an app that plays all photos from an SD card AND facebook photos?
Go here http://mirror.corenoc.de/digitalrivercontent.net/ put it on a usb with rufus, delete ei.cfg file if you cant find your specific version.
Anyone know a similar place but for vista isos? I need it in spanish.
after 4 years and multiple repairs, my g500 is pretty much dead. whats a good mouse these days? I'd prefer one with at least 3 side buttons, though I'm sure that's standard these days. no wireless, please.
A year ago I was looking around too.
I had a G700 which had 4 thumb buttons and I wanted at least 4.
Razer has one with 6 buttons, but it looks like shit. the reason I didn't buy it.
I ended up with the G600. I'm not using all of the buttons, but I like having the choice where to place my hotkeys.
I just did a SMART check on my data HDD for lulz
>current pending sector count: 2
>everything else seems to be good
>it's a seagate
is it about to break? it's working fine currently
there's a lot of tedious-to-recover data on there...
Just discovered my P5Kc doesn't support more than 8gb ram anyway.
Speaking of outdated mobo's... I'm thinking of upgrading but I'm not sure if I can find an LGA775 socketed one that is much of an upgrade. My Core2 Quad Q6600 2.4Ghz is not at the end of it's useful life yet and I absolutely cower in fear of the pricetags on new processors.
hi, me again, I figured out what was going on. windows 10 confused the motioninjoy ps3 controller driver for the mouse, after uninstalling it, now the mouse works like a mouse should. Thanks again for the help!!
>games on SSD
good goyim, check this new 2 TB SSD you can put nearly 20 AAA games here!! just $1000! you don't want to waste precious seconds on lousy loading screens like a poorfag right?
I need to buy a replacement power adapter for my laptop but I'm a bit confused by what I need.
The website lists the power adapter as
>65W (19V x 3.42A) Auto-sensing ,100-240V/50-60Hz AC Adapter
But on the back of the laptop next to the serial number and other info it says
>DC 19V - 2.37A
So what am I looking for exactly? I dont have the previous power adapter so I can't easily replace it.
not even going to look at your shit but just know this - for laptop chargers, the amperage has to be equal to or greater than the recommended value, and the voltage has to be exactly the same, even half a volt off runs the risk of fucking your battery or motherboard
Yes, basically it goes like this:
Voltage x Amperage = Wattage
Available Wattage > Required Wattage = Good to go
Available Wattage < Required Wattage = Won't power up, can fuck up older batts.
Line Voltage =! Required Voltage = SHIT GETS FUCKED UP
I'm trying to keep the price as low as possible.
I'm mainly gonna use it for emulation and shit, since linux doesn't get too many triple A games. But if I could run those AAA games in WINE, that'd be rad.
He might not run it on wine or high settings but 4170s have pretty good single core perfomance and can handle as much as a 380/960.
Stop giving advice kid.
>inb4 retarded 1440p ultra benchmarks
Wrong. 4160 here, running recent titles (GTAV, FC4, MGSV, etc) with no problems and nowhere near CPU limited.
I think 4170s are going cheap-ish just now so see if you can bump it up to that for a little extra clock speed. The difference from 3.4 to 3.7 isn't huge though.
It doesn't matter if you torrent it or do via DDL. It's important that the file's legit and you can achieve that by comparing the checksum of the iso with the one on MS's page.
I'm not even going to throw an autistic fit over this.
Build, you can upgrade later. If you're planning to upgrade though you might want to get a beefier PSU. 550Ws shouldn't be that far away and will run a long way if you're not overclocking.
Also, why are you wasting $20 on a cooler for an i3? intel's stock is not *that* noisy and you definitely don't need extra cooling solutions for that CPU.
>he fell for the "you need an unlocked OC'd i5 with aftermarket cooler to run AAA games" meme
Guess what anon: Barring some very rare exceptions, games are still GPU limited at the resolutions and sync targets that 99% of people actually play at. And they are going to stay that way.
I've never built a PC with bought parts before desu.
I've built many PCs from junk yard, dumpster diving parts before, and they almost always have a CPU cooler, I just figured it was standard.
Most CPUs come with a stock cooler, save yourself the $20.
Do you plan to use that optical drive? you can drop it and spend the $35 you just saved on a better PSU that, with a little luck, will last you many builds.
Also, that's a cute case but there are cheaper.
Gotta play them DVDs my boy.
What are some cheap small form factor cases?
I've had computers without cases before.
>tfw was poor as fucking dirty in 7th grade
>rode my bike to all the dumpsters and electronic shops around town
>pieced together a PC in a fucking Milk crate over the summer.
I was playing with gparted and bcd editing in windows just to learn how it works and ran into a problem. Heres what I did.
-Installed W7 64 bits on a clean disk, then resized the main partition.
-Installed W7 32 bits on some of the remaining adjacent space.
-From the 64bit and first OS I installed EasyBCD, moved the boot manager and bcd list from both OSes to the current main partition C: and marked it as active, making it the new system partition, after this I deleted the remaining and now useless System Reserved 100mb partition.
-I rebooted and both OSes booted fine.
-I booted ubuntu from a live usb and with gparted resized the partition next to the initial free space containing the 64 bit OS and both OSes boot files so it occupied the free space before it.
Now, I tried booting again and for some reason the 32 bit OS installed on the unedited and now 2nd partition booted fine but the first 64 bit one with the edited partition wont boot.
My question is how comes the 2nd OS loads fine but the first doesnt? Boot files are where they should be and the mbr record appears to be pointing to the correct place seeing as I can boot the 2nd OS, just not the first.
I could just try running a startup repair and get it working but id like some insight on why that happened. I read many pages about the windows boot process and there shouldnt be a reason for one os booting but not the other, if both crapped Id think its a corrupt mbr but it seems it isnt. Or is it that windows has some sort of hash/check of its current partition and refuses to work by simply modifying it?
Which of these is the better of the two?
450 is my budget.
>that feel when finally have a enough money to build your own computer with parts that aren't second hand trash
God damn, this is gonna feel amazing. Thanks /g/
I was doing some casual benchmarking a few minutes ago when, after about half an hour of computing, I started to smell a thin yet distinctive smell of something burning.
Shut off the benchmark and cracked open my case. Can't see any signs of damage. The smell went away within minutes of the benchmark stopping, but I can't really tell where in the computer it was coming from.
Should I be concerned?
Most likely some kind of VRM,
either GPU (check card) or CPU (check mobo)
Although I would expect hardware to shut off in such a case.
Anyway get something to monitor more temps other than core temps and see what's getting hot
950 for fucking sure.
You may go lower on the PSU (DO NOT GET CORSAIR CX) but I chose that one so you have space for future upgrades.
It really is amazing to build a brand new PC for the first time, good luck anon.
So I own the Grado SR80i and the DT880 250ohms.
1. Should I get an AMP for the DT880s
They are loud enough for me so will they benefit from sound quality?
2. Is it worth spending around $300 for another pair or should I wait and jump to a higher priced headphones
I would like to experience a different sound signature.
I recently bought a brand new Radeon R9 290 (an upgrade from a dinky GTX 650 ti) and I'm getting these weird vertical/horizontal lines on random occasions, but only when I've either been gaming or watching youtube, strangely enough. The audio will either continue to play or stutter, but It's basically forcing me to hard restart (except for one time I had a youtube video playing, the screen appeared, I think I hit backspace on my keyboard and suddenly it started working again once the browser's page refereshed.
The weird part is, I've played only 10 minutes before it happened, or sometimes I manage several hours straight.
I tested my memory, just bought a new 750w PSU, and I even tried rolling back my display drivers.
Anyone have any ideas? I'm stumped and I only know just enough to be clueless when shit hits the fan.
is there any other benefit to installing w7 on a SSD than faster boot times?
i got a 250gb but undecided if i want to install w7 on it since its like 35gb installed... and since games are now 20-30gb each..
just wandering what other things are faster in windows if in a SSD? also any point in installing firefox on a SSD?
What's /g/'s opinion on buying 2nd hand GPU's?
I want to crossfire my 290 but am not willing to shekel out that much money on another one.
Providing that I find one for cheap, is it advisable?
I had a program a while ago that basically let you adjust the transparency of individual windows by hitting CTRL and moving the scroll wheel up or down
It was a simple executable that you manually ran when you needed it, and I think it brought up a tray icon but I can't remember
Shit really? That was the literal one thing I was hoping I wouldn't need to bother doing.
Guess that's life. Thanks Anon.
Yea, I figured. It's probably my RAM then, I've been having a bit of trouble with that. I had to turn the paging file off to avoid a bluescreen and the crash only ever occurs when I'm playing Dota 2 which puts my RAM at like 3.6 gb / 4 gb with no paging file
I'm also fairly sure it isn't overheating, it might have been before when it peaked at 82c but I fixed things so it now only peaks at 75c
also, it's not like it just restarts: it crashes completely, as if it got power cut, and then starts back up
how do i make downthemall! not save thumbails?
I had the same problem with the old ATA interface so I switched to the newer one and it went away
there's a log in the control panel but I forget where, but you can look up the code by clicking on it
What exactly would I be doing if I got one of these 3 jobs?
What software should I use to rip DVDs from the library? A lot of them (foreign films especially) are 10+ years old but I'm gonna assume most have some kind of encryption protection.
My OCD forces me to check out a dozen at once, but then I never watch any by the time I have to bring them back, so I figure I'll just download them.
So everytime I try to post on 4chan with Firefox I get
>This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) to specify that Firefox only connect to it securely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate.
Tried disabling all extensions, running firefox in safe mode, to no avail, will anyone help me?
Atleast 600+ if you want to overclock. AMD cards suck power like a whore down a back alley.
I was looking at the 390x but it wouldn't fit inside my ITX case as I found out online so I'm opting for a 980.
Can I just flash my Android phone and install a stock Android ROM without any provider or phone compan/manufacturer bloatware? Is it that simple? I don't want a custom ROM, just barebones Android
>With the major film companies master key
what do you mean by this exactly? Seems like dvdripper doesn't offer decryption of everything in the free trial. And Handbrake looked good until I saw it couldn't remove the encryption, are there many other good options for decryption of Netflix (my brother has a sub) or library DVDs?
nigga dvdripper is free open source.
I have it on a floppy disk somewhere.
Hollywood's master key to their encryption algorithm got leaked HARD.It was a big spectacle on the net at the time,so everyone could decrypt their drm
>non ECC RAM?
not sure what that is
I went to play some 10v10s to test my temps while playing for you
the oddest fucking shit happened though
My idle temps, 27c CPU, 29c mobo 63c GPU barely changed at all
my highest CPU temp reading was fucking 37c, mobo about the same and the GPU peaked at fucking 70c which is 5 lower than it usually peaks
and the whole time, not a single fucking stutter or crash
fucking wacky shit happening
literally the only thing I did was restart my computer before because my RAM usage was abnormally high for no good reason
>high ram usage
It's called caching. If you arent using 99% of your ram then you bought too much
Why would you buy ram if you dont use it?
makes sense dosent it?
You might be bottlenecking somwhere.
Or you could try the beta drivers for your card and see if some fuckery is going on
Thanks for the reply.
Has approximately a year and a half of use for 80 britbongs. Only reason he's selling it is because he's upgrading.
Considering that it's the vapor-x model, it sounds like a pretty good damn deal to me.
Does the g300s has a perfect sensor? My friend wants one, and searching "g300s sensor" on the /g/ archive returns nothing so I dunno if it does.
I meant unusually high RAM usage while I wasn't doing anything. If I'm playing something, it's probably up near 3.7gb/4gb which is pretty well used.
I actually know that my GPU is garbage and plan to replace it somewhere but the point of the post was that for some fucking reason, all of my temps were unusually low and the game ran fucking perfectly despite it crashing every time I tried to play a full game out
you've been visited by the low temps, evil crash goblin. You will be blessed with low temps but only if you reply."Nice temps satan"
Try the beta drivers for the hell of it.It's not temps obviously. It would windows throwing a random shit.
Do you have any log information?
the crashes stopped man
>ran fucking perfectly
I guess I should have said despite it usually crashing every time I tried to play a full game
there's no logs because it didn't crash
and I'm not sure if there would be logs for the old ones, whenever the computer started back up it didn't even bring up an error message, nothing to signify that my computer just shit out, not sure if that would leave logs or not
what was the codename we were using before?
I thought it was supposed to be some island (northern, volcanic) but now we took to the skies all of a sudden and I can't remember the old codename.
Does any one know how to get into the debug menu on the wii u? I've been googling and all I get is some article(s) on some dude in the miiverse and that's no help. he did it on accidental too,.
hey /g/ I have a question, I am using window 10 right now and it said it has antivirus built-in, is it trust worthy? if now, which 3rd party anti virus do you use?
Google Chrome seems to slow to a crawl when I open too many tabs+windows (about 10 windows with 20-30 tabs each), but I still have 10+ Gb unused ram left when I check task manager, why is this?
why is it that every w7 vs w10 gaymen benchmark video in youtube shows w10 beating w7 in fps?
i though there was no difference between w7 and botnet unless the game was made with dx12...
what the fuck is going on /g/ did i fall for the w7 meme?
Why the fuck is the internet so much faster than local file technology?
Why the fuck am I able to download files at 115 MB/s but only copy them to another drive connected over SATA at 15 MB/s if I'm lucky?
Hey /sqt/ need some programming advice.
I'm porting my anime manager to Emacs. The thing is, Emacs doesn't seem to have any good SQLite bindings. The main problem with this means no prepared statements, meaning I need to do string sanitizing by hand. I'm trying to figure out the right approach to this.
1. Pipe input directly to SQLite subprocess. Need to sanitize strings by hand.
2. Use a foreign function interface to call SQLite's C bindings. Adds two extra dependencies and potentially unstable and unfun FFI play.
3. Outsource everything outright to a Python server process. The Emacs part basically becomes a super thin client that proxies input and output to/from the server process. Needs the server program as an extra dependency.
I got my first dmca for a porn of all things (torrent, public tracker). Not a warning from my isp about p2p but an actual warning because of a dmca by the porn group or their contacted lawyers or whatever.
How do they know? Do they join the seed pool and just issue dmca to anyone they find in there?
What should I do to protect myself now that they've warned me?
For the future I'll just stick to private trackers because now I just feel paranoid
technically you can't trademark porn, you're fine. There's nothing they are going to do. If you need to, just change your ISP.
And in order to know YOU did that, a lawyer actually goes in, downloads it from said torrent site, finds your IP and sends it to who ever. In bit torrent or whatever, it shows everyone there, so he takes them all down and sends them to whatever ISP. legally, they can't prove anything from your IP address. Once you delete the torrent, they can't prove you didn't own a copy of it at some point. That is why you can get away with downloading DVDs from kickass. you're in the clear essentially anon.
Is connecting a front panel USB with a converter of some sort possible/worth it? My 500R's USB doesn't seem to fit in my Z97's slot, and I assume it's due to either too many or not enough pins and I clearly can't tell.
just got a Galaxy S5, looking to get a customized case. i was looking at Otterbox (specifically Commuter) and was going to get a decal to put on it from some random create your own decal site
whats the best option for a customizable and durable case that isnt bulky in my hand? is the Otterbox Commuter along that line?
Thanks for the reply! If they can't trademark it, why do they bother sending dmca at all? Seems like a waste. Anyway, I guess just delete the torrent file and be more careful of the trackers I use is all I can do now?
What's the reason you want to do all of that? Can't you just leave it as is?
And, maybe you could find a library someone already made to sanitize in this use. Did you check git already?
any good suggestions for a headset + mic that works not only on pc but also ps4?
it's for my little brother's birthday
looking to spend under $150aud and leaning towards the turtle beach stealth 400
to scare you basically. its like the first time you do something stupid and your mom agrees to the "Scared straight" program
agreeing also with first reply, but seriously dude, if you own a computer and you've EVER used this thing, I don't know it's GOOGLE this giant fucking website, you would of searched for "top 10 antivirus' " and gone with it.
I'm not going to call you an idiot, or be mean but dude, seriously, google before you travel to /g/
a lot of /g/ users are going to hate me for this but, go look on skullcandy's site, they have some nice headphones. I want to get the Slyers. that and the wireless hesh's cause they have a built in mic.
all else fails, like me, i like having speakers and shit, i have a usb wii u mic, and it works amazing, people never complain about my mic audio and say I come thru pretty well.
So stupid question.
I found this old Seagate barracuda 1tb which is probably like 3 years+ old which was forgotten backup. Is it safe to use it for my new build?
Forgetting the blackblaze seagate shit memes
I'm planning to replace thermal paste in my PC. Since I don't have pure alcohol laying around, is it OK to use Listerine to clean the old paste? I don't want to get ants.
So on your mobo there are 19 pins sticking out like in the pic and your front panel cable has 20 female ends, right? Can't you just plug in it? There's nothing physically stopping you right? Or does it not work when plugged it?
Your case is modern one, it should have the appropriate USB3.0 front panel cable to plug in.
The way it's shaped blocks it from going in, it might be hard to tell.
People seem to have problems with that case but I can't exactly tell how it doesn't fit.
So is the connector too wide or is there not enough headroom?
does anyone have a free alternative to SSDready (which is not piratable?)
I am trying to mitigate SSD writes and this shows me WHAT specifically is writing, just not how MUCH. Also this is my first SSD so what should I be disabling/checking to make sure everything is not hammering this shit with writes?
Best Youtube Converter?
There's tons of apps/sites/plugins I just don't know which one is the best. I just want good audio and the option to save the video or just the audio.
Ok, as any python version seems to be fine, just install python. Are you fine with using a command line or afraid?
Here's what using it looks like approximately: https://youtu.be/QCrUGKwc8JA?t=2m27s
I'm thinking about getting a Razer Headset for PC gaming purposes, since my TurtleBeach headset is falling apart.
Are their headsets any good? I want to stay within $100ish dollars range is all.
>Your friend doesn't care and you know it.
Actually he plays CS:GO and is currently using something called the "blackweb mouse". After the new update he dropped to the lowest rank, and felt way discouraged for even playing and was considering selling all his skins and quitting. He says his budget is 100 dollars or less, but he said he has his eyes on the g300s, so I wanted to get him a mouse with a perfect sensor at that price (30 USD).
And, this "friend" is not me. I have a Deathadder. I heard the g100s was discontinued, but it's still 22 dollars or something and I told him he could go for that, but I wanted to confirm whether or not the mouse he wanted had a perfect sensor. Also, I know shit about sensors, so thanks for the reply, and info. Cheers.
They aren't as bad as /hpg/ will tell you, but they are overpriced; only get them if they're on sale.
Also, unless your really care about the colour of the logo you can't see while wearing them, get Classic instead of Chroma. Literally the exact same product but with a blue light.
So my new computers motherboard only has one port for a case fan, but the case I've got has one built in 120mm and spaces for two extra 120mm fans. I've found a 4 port hub for cheap but after talking to my slightly more tech-literate brother he's worried about drawing power for 3 fans through the one port. Will it be an issue? Or can I go ahead with buying it? The fans I'm looking at are Venturi HF-12s.
Is there a totally standard keyboard that /g/ recommends? I know the Logitech K120 is heavily recommend, but I want a keyboard without any keys being warped. Like a mechanical keyboard, but membrane. Need it for muh games. All standard-sized keys.
pic related. compared a lenovo keyboard to the k120, but the lenovo keyboard costs 40 CAD on amazon so it's not worth it to me. I just wanted to know the /g/ standard, though, so price isn't actually relevant.
this is what it looks like at 00:01 and on other parts to me
I use the K-lite codec pack
Ok. Maybe it's the codec pack, maybe mpc. I didn't find an issue on their bugtracker.
You could try
http://haruhichan.com/forum/showthread.php?7545-KCP-Kawaii-Codec-Pack for example and see if it changes something. I don't know man. Maybe someone on Windows can play the webm for you and test if they have the same issue.
