It's a ratioless tracker with minimum seeding time requirements. 24 hours for an episode and 120 hours for a season. When a season finishes, all the individual episodes are collected into a season pack and the individual episodes deleted. The longer you seed, the more bonus points you earn. BPs are part of the requirements for climbing userclasses.

Is PTP hard to keep up your ratio without a seedbox? I know about the bonus point system but is it very generous? I'm not really that big of a movie watcher may watch a movie or two a week but I mainly would use it for my family because the speeds on public trackers are awful. Also on top of that it's even slower because I have to use a VPN or I get a letter in the mail. I already meet the requirements for an invite, I was just wondering if it's that hard of a tracker.

OS drive died today, nothing was lost in terms of data as all my stuff is kept on drives besides the boot drive, but it killed my Deluge install and now I am having to manually re-add all my torrents back into my client.


So far i'm about 100GB in of 2.7TB and it's already taken about 20 minutes.

I'd be concerned about those drives if they're getting unmounted for I/O errors. However, from my experience, it's more than likely the SATA->USB converter that's fucking up. There have been a few power outages where I've "lost" connection to a USB drive, and when I take the enclosure apart and hook the drive up directly to my motherboard (through SATA), it's right back to normal.

So if you have 10GB upload and 5GB download your ratio is 2:1 or 2.0 as a decimal.

It's just that in most private trackers there are far more people seeding torrents than leeching them, due to people being worried about keeping their ratio good, so anyone seeding has a relatively low chance of being downloaded from at any given time.

You can counteract this to some extent in most trackers by seeding a lot of torrents at once, to increase the chances of something on your list being downloaded. Also people loosen up a bit during freeleech so it's easy to amass upload during those times or on those torrents. You probably won't need to worry about it too much after your first couple of weeks though, only tracker I couldn't amass retarded amounts of buffer without thinking about it just by seeding back what I downloaded long term was Bibliotik (and there it's not such an issue because a little bit of buffer goes a long way on ebooks)

Your first 20GB of music is required ratio free so download everything you want up to that limit, permaseed it and use the upload you get from that to keep downloading. (Download as much as your required ratio will allow to increase your seeding size)
