Keep a hand on the case/power supply so you're grounded, and RTFM.

Make sure you put in the io shield and take care of the stand offs, and focus on cable management if you've got the room. Other than that, dont go full /v/tard
>>
Make sure to clean all parts with water because their is sometimes some dirt on them.

Make sure to put thermal paste on the socket before putting the processor to prevent overheating.

Kek. Anon, go read a short tut on grounding before you advise people.

You can touch bare metal. Inside of a case usually, or a power supply. Some cases won't work, though.
>>
i can help you build it via video chat, anon

you can touch the case, but that's not grounding, you're just dividing the charge of your body equally with the case
if you want grounding you need a physical connection to ground via a special connector that only has the ground pin brought out or a regular mains cable connected to the psu

>Don't skip out on good cable management just because you're eager to start using it.
>Take potential future upgrades into account with your cable management to save yourself a total re-wiring in the future
>don't buy an OS like a good goyim. Use one of the many free Linux distros or pirate Windows.
>Don't forget your IO shield

>pea sized drop of thermal paste. No spreading.

Yeah don't do that

Just be careful, don't use much force with stuff and be careful with screwdrivers etc, dropping one on a motherboard can be fun

use mobo standoffs
don't let the parts laying on the outer side of the anti-static bag
ground yourself
