>taking the picture down
know that image of the american soldiers raising the stars and stripes on the battlefield?
they're not raising it, they're taking it down
that's how depressing this pic is
>mfw that table is worth $2k and chair is $1k
No, they're not. They might cost that much (or more), but I assure you, they are not worth that much. Chair is worth like $25, the table, maybe $75.
>people paying insane prices for something because of a brand name that's attached to it
>stupid fucking people will be the death of us all
THIS IS THE 3RD BLOODY THREAD IVE SEEN TODAY.
Come on /g/ get it together!
>Floorstanding speakers against the wall with no space behind
>Not placing your desk in the correct zone for proper listening to said speakers
>fuckheug mac at the front of the table so it can burn your retinas and fuck your posture.
My ghetto poorfag rig at my parents' house (I come home from university at holidays and weekends for work).
i know it looks kind of ghetto, and i could add some rails to the bottom of my desk and place power adapters there, but honestly that's just too much effort for nothing. this tape is really strong, they aren't overheating and are staying in place (power cables being tied help too).
should get something like this
Yes, they're over priced. Yes, you're paying a huge markup for the brand. But no, if you want those specific designs (for whatever reason,) and you want the best build quality/materials of said design, you're going to pay the ridiculous markup. Walnut, for example, is not fucking cheap.
The copies/clones/knock offs are significantly cheaper for a reason, and you're more likely going to regret spending (or wasting,) 1/4th the price, for something that might break if you look at it incorrectly.
All of that said, if you're spending a lot of time at your computer, you should probably invest in something more comfortable and supportive of good posture, than aesthetically appealing. But the guy in the OP image is just setting his workspace up for others (and himself, but probably to a lesser degree,) to drool at.
My name is Ian, and it's never posted anywhere because who the fuck's name is Ian, so it really started weirding me out that everybody's sorry Ian died.
I get the story, and it makes sense, but I'm not used to my name being posted so much.
my ghetto desk. fused two ikea tables together to form a $50 l shape desk.
Do people really like rooms like these? Sure, all the stuff looks expensive, but the room has like no decoration, plants, books, tools, comfy reading places, photos,... nothing, it looks cold and soulless.
>it looks cold and soulless.
That room has more decorations than mine tbqhwufam
Did you assemble it yourself with a DIY kit?
Why does your computer case have an ear?
I like your woods.
Your stuff looks clean and well-maintained, but this is way too much clutter and your monitors are too low.
Nice special needs anon.
What size screen is that? I like how minimal your set up is, but it's not very comfy nor very ergonomic IMO.
Cool gear and neat wallpaper. What speakers are those?
Nice gear, but that case is freakin' gigantic.
Boring and mediocre.
ok anons Hypothetically speaking:
>bring female home
>she see your bst
>"oh anon, [insert hobby shit here] has to go"
what do? im not just talking about anime or pone, literally anything.
My room is turning into a pigsty again, I need to clean.
All my new water cooling stuff is arriving today! Fucking finally, stupid holidays and postal service but quelling during holidays.
you should clean up
also why is your pc so fucking huge if you only shitpost on /g/ and play eroge?
Poasting, how's your evening faggots?
Get some better lighting, jesus.
Clean up, you disgust me
There's no way that an Eames chair would cost anything under $1k. I'm talking genuine Eames as well. That chair and the lounging chair/footrest is already $3k, if not more.
>tfw getting herman miller aeron chairs this week
Why didn't you join a coding bootcamp, /g/?
This furry-friendly post brought to you in part by
Someone is posting our stations from yesterdays thread
>Klipsch are terrible.
"I can't afford Klipsch", the post.
topkek, m8. It's either Klipsch Heritage series or Altec Lansing A7's if you want serious vintage sound, you disgusting pleb.
What are you faggots on about? Why are you fucking calling hi-fi 'real sound'? Both are fucking hi-fi speakers that'll glorify your listening experience.
For "real" real sound, refer to studio monitors.
Hilarious, m8. Apollo C51's are just the cabinet, what fucking drivers have you got in them?
93dB @ 1W @ 1m... Again, hilarious. Low-sensitivity crap, may as well stuff your ears with wet cotton.
Thanks for the marketing buzzword. Speakers are speakers, regardless of what you call them.
I drive the La Scalas with a Rotel RA-1412. Pic related. Pure Class A, solid state. Capable of delivering up to 220 watts RMS @ 8 ohms per channel. It's plenty adequate. Plus the La Scalas are rated at 104 dB @ 1W @ 1m. (Well the originals are, the new II series are rated at 105)
>inb4 you claim to be using a McIntosh
Hey, look my horns :3
It really doesn't run very hot at all, and the point of Class A is that it's conducting for the entire wavecycle of the signal you run through it, so you avoid slew rate distortion from switching output transistors, like a Class AB does.
Also, the THD is rated at 0.001%, so go ahead and tell me how much better tube amps are, (which they aren't, for playback) because they sound "warm" (ie. they're distorting)
i7 4710hq CPU
16GB DDR3 RAM
And here are some benchmarks I did when I was bored
Last picture I took of my current setup. New parts coming in the mail this week.
It's got most of the benefits of 2560x1600 while still being 16:9 and not being eye-wateringly expensive.
Nice internet though, my ADSL weeps in comparison.
Used to have a Ducky grey/white deysub at home, but switched it with my Poker 2 at work instead, for various reasons. Also need to get a new case one of these days.
>dildos on desk
thinkpads will always be comfy
thinkpad+linux = maximum comfy
>radeon 200 series
Would you be willing to trade that spacebar for a more subtle one? I'd even throw a PBT spacebar in there for you.
Dell UltraSharp U2412M. Same as a lot of people I'd guess. Was thinking of getting a 144hz one, but I don't really play games at the moment, and these are quite nice still.
Yeah, they are quite nice. I like the color. It's a pair of Monitor Audio BX2. Just wish I had more space so I didn't have to have everything on the desk.
Oh my god. I was considering one if I was a submissive and had a cute dom :c 10/10 gunna die.
Oh god I wanna lick you to taste the faggot.
dude i need like.. a little tag for it too
what should it say on it?
i got this already as a joke
its fucking kek
>For fuck's sake, you could have got a original Xbox HUEG for cheap.
Ive got about 12 of em in the loft.
The wii was a fiver at a carboot.
What the fuck is an xbox even good for apart from xbox games and taking up about 3/4 of the room?
Haven't posted here in possibly half a year. Rate me.
You can actually remember what it used to look like? I'm impressed.
Yeah, It's not actually like that any more. I just haven't bothered taking a better picture yet.
Here's a pic from September 2014. I have earlier pics but they're from a different house.
Especially with that cheap £5 mic boom arm that almost everyone has, it is a piece of shit but there's no other available options apart from the expensive Rode one.
And yeah, the Bekant desk, it's the 160cm one. Non-electric.
It looked shit in person because it was just 'wood effect'. Just a cheap hand-me-down particleboard table. It did the job well though and I convinced my friend to buy it off me for £15 lmao, what a shit friend I am. Here's the earliest pic I have from August 2013 in my old house. Damn, feels nostalgic looking at these old pics from when I used to browse /g/ daily.
Moving soon hopefully when i get a job. Door leaks cold air.
I'm >>52252236, and I got my Auna 900B for £35, and the boom arm was about £5. It really wasn't that big an investment, but what you get for the money is excellent.
>tfw no good desk
>tfw one monitor
on break right now, my dorm desk is even smaller and shittier than this one
I do have a heater next to my legs though so that's comfy
This raises more questions than answers
Why do people do TVs above monitors? You'd hurt your neck having to look up to watch stuff.
>bought a Shield
You must really have a lot of disposable income.
desu i like futa sometimes too, when its futa on male buuuut enough of that too much off topic haha, sorry
Shit's good. I still love it even though finding a good battery is rare.
I also have the Klipsch sub hooked up to it. The internal amp died so I am using a MTX car amp to power it using an old Xbox 360 adapter to power it.
Another old pic.
I will post a recent photo tonight.
Only pic I have so far on my phone. I am away from the house.
